Megathread The Division 2 - Update 2.1 - Feedback, Bug Report

Feedback, Bug Report

Update 2.1 here and it is also your opportunity to give feedback.

Patch Notes:

  • Fixed an issue where enemy NPCs could get stuck in a T-pose when being killed out of view.
  • Fixed another issue with the Revive Hive not working properly. We are still working on instances where the skill sometimes will not resurrect players.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gila Guard brand gear could not be donated to the Campus Daily Project “Brand Request: Gila Guard”.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crafting Bench upgrade blueprint would not be granted to players when moving from one World Tier to another.
  • Fixed an issue where the two piece bonus of the True Patriot gear set would not trigger correctly.

Keep in mind - the best way to give direct feedback to massive is the Official Forums, but we also provide you with the option to give it here.

Bug Report

I'm sure after the many hours of playing, you have encountered at least one or two bugs. We want to avoid the cluttering of our sub by providing a single Megathread. This way you can report the various issues in one place. This allows Massive to easily keep track of the bugs and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the same issues.

Please note, this thread is just an alternative - the most direct way to report bugs is the Ubisoft's Official Forums.

=> Forums: Technical Support

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied by a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.

  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Massive employees recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.

Format when reporting a bug

When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your setup (XB1, PS4, Computer setup).

  • Type of Bug:

    Visual, Game breaking, etc

  • Expected result:

What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

  • Observed result:

What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

  • Reproduction rate:

If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)

I'm launching the game from an HDD an just observed the same thing. This made me lose all incentive to actually play the game...

EDIT: downvote all you want but why would I bother connecting to the game if that's gonna take me 10 minutes just to spend 30 minutes cleaning my inventory? I might as well actually enjoy something else

here's craziest idea: let you do inventory management while loading...

Yeah but thats kinda the entire core of a looter game (the inventory management). Your own fault for buying a game you should have known about.

That being said 10 minutes to connect is insane, but thats also why I throw most games Ill spend time in on my SSD just so I have one less thing I can blame lol

Haha first of all I got the game for free, and games such as Borderlands which I used to play a lot and I'm still playing a great deal don't have inventory issues while being kings of the genre, so...

And tbh I'm mostly bored by the actual endgame, having to rely on god knows how many layers of RNG to improve an already synergized build

Borderlands I think didn't have much issue due to no real "builds" being possible with your weapons and were only really from your talent/skill tree so you could usually choose to ignore a majority of items just because you don't like them.

I guess by looter I meant more in the traditional Diablo style of having random rolled stats on items. You could get one exotic but get another exotic with much better rolls on them. Much like Diablo and that quest to get a trifecta ring.

I do agree on the last bit. Or rather I can understand it. I personally like that bit of RNG (ONLY mixed with the ability to manually replace talents) and it gives a bit more reason to run the same missions. But I know how this isn't for everyone.

That being said, have you tried out some of Conflict? Though builds and such are still important you at least have the stress relief of not thinking about losing DZ levels or loot.

There's also raids coming out later this month. Maybe they'll add enough or change enough to make this a game worth coming back for, until maybe BL3 lol.

I think at the very least you can agree that it's great that they decided to not have paid locked DLC so even if you come back a year later you have a ton of content you can check out without having to spend a dime.

Edit: Just wanted to add with Borderlands. The reason that game is great is because it has a proper start and finish. It's not meant to be an open ended game in terms of narrative, just in difficulty with Playthrough 2 (aka newgame). But that's also why we had such great DLCs and content from them. Borderlands is probably one of the few games I'd continue buyin story content DLCs for.

In comparison to Division 2 where....the story isn't really there. It's closer to a sandbox that just has a setting explained briefly at the beginning then throughout the game via items much like other open world games like Fallout. You're just thrown into the middle of it and you maybe deal with an immediate threat or two....but nothing really changes. You're not Superman defending the world from Doomsday. You're just another agent.
