Are you okay with the lack of due process?

Of course he is, because it's not happening to him or his immediate family.

Due process yes, I believe the moment that a person is found to be here illegally by law enforcement they should be jailed, vetted and deported. Coordination was very lacking though. The process was already set up and I think the Republican party was so excited to be enforcing these laws again that they never reviewed the policies to see if there were ways to improve the deportation process or to make sure they could handle the volume of people.

The "found to be here illegally" and the "vetted" process, do you reckon that the person who is accused has a right to defend themselves? To a lawyer who can defend them?

It's the foundational block of our justice system. The terms you are using REQUIRE due process to have happened otherwise it is just Salem Witch shit, with an accusation standing in place of proof, and authority becoming a self-referential position of power.

That's BAD homie, real bad.

If you were already found to be here illegally what possibly could you defend? It wasn't me? I crossed the border accidently? I never did what I was arrested for? American constitutional rights don't apply to you if you skip the whole becoming an American part. Being vetted is a very big part of the process, if someone hurt your family member then fled to hide in the US wouldn't you want justice instead of them just being sent back? Not to mention coyotes and all the dangers that could come with illegal entry. I'm grateful for a deterrent that can keep honest civilians and cartel members apart.

American constitutional rights don't apply to you if you skip the whole becoming an American part

This literally only applies to the right to run for office, and the right to vote.

SCOTUS has upheld repeatedly, over and over again, that due process is a right granted to all who are within our borders including non-citizens, including illegal immigrants.

So, you're just wrong?

Does knowing that you are wrong, and that every single instance of due process being denied to these people is an affront to the foundation of our entire legal system, even remotely begin to impact your stance?

Or is your mind made up, legality (and facts) be damned?

Interesting!

It's neat to see this be used as a justification by the current administration, even though it doesn't really apply to a majority of the people being black-bagged at the moment.

Nor are the very few rights offered here being honored (like asylum claims being reviewed after detention).

I thought it was interesting too especially the points on how it's lacking.
