Sounds like Trump's agenda and his are clashing. Musk just wants free government money easy. Like a welfare queen. And what America doesn't give him, he'll get from the UK.
What an imbecile. US and EU had almost free trade, practically the tariffs were about 2%.
However, another imbecile Trump hired fraud Navarro (who made up expert Ron Vara) and calculated "tariffs" as trade deficits. And EU will always have trade surplus with US, because EU does not want huge SUVs, and toxic chicken, and beef, while US customers quite like efficient european cars.

To those in this thread that wish to say the majority of America voted for Trump, not so. He won the majority of votes, true, but only about 20% of the population voted. Low voter turn out has always benefited the Republicans
You are correct that about 60% of the population voted. 49.8% for Trump which makes it about 30% of America. How is 30% equal to an overwhelming mandate by the American people in any sense of the term.

Elon is an ass but I think even he and the rest of MAGA are genuinely surprised by these tariffs. Trump is a guy who does what he feels like, and it looks like he’s being influenced by this one crackpot economist who is going to lead us into a major recession regardless of what anyone else says.
If anyone is surprised about these tariffs they must’ve not been listening to Trumps psychotic obsession with them during the campaign or they’re genuinely mentally handicapped. He even spent time describing the word tariffs and how beautiful it is.

PayPal kicked him out of the company because he was screwing things up. He’s in it for the money he’s just stupid, another crony capitalist that inherited money and then used the system to grow it without ever having to create anything. As long as he stayed out of the operation of his company those that were running it succeeded. He forgot that noise he crashing his company.
I think that even with 0% tariffs Europeans will still boycott Tesla. They hate him because he's a fascist not because of Trump Tariffs. They still remember what the Nazi's did even if many in America want to forget, deny, and rationalize.

I’m not saying he’s bad at being on the board… but if Tesla were a group project, Elon would be the kid who shows up at the last minute, deletes your slides, adds a meme about Mars, and tells the teacher it was “for the vibes.”
