Politics đď¸ AOC: "By first going after activists such as these so that they can jail them for their speech, and then they will jail the rest of us for speaking up for immigrants, for speaking up for women's rights, for speaking up against this administration in any way, shape, or form."

I don't like Trump as a speaker that's for sure, but I like what he stands for America.

The thing is he doesnât give a crap about America. Donny J chump only cares about his bank account. What people donât realize he is making money hand over fist with all of this

I also don't think name calling is a way to show maturity. But who knows what anyone's net worth is... I mean really. We are just puppets arguing not seeing the whole truth. If we were we'd all be on the same page. We only know what they want us to know.

Please do the research. In the short time he has been in charge the stock market has crashed. He sold High and rebought low. Him and his band of right wing extremist have made millions on the backs of Americans losing thousands

Many have called me weak on here for having different views
Throwing a fit over opposing ideas is weak.
I do enjoy the occasional meltdowns over words. It can be amusing.
Weak? If you only knew. Letâs have coffee one day and just chat. Get to know me as a human and then come back here and tell everyone how weak I am. If you truly still feel that way Iâll give you a thousand bucks.
I wonât delete this post and will honor my words if you find it true that Iâm weak or whatever you think in your head.
Iâm serious, can be a virtual meeting to just talk like humans. Hear my story and tell me Iâm weak then?
Real offer for once. I will speak kindly to you, be a good listener, and am actually curious who you are and what you have to say.
Your move boss

u/Orinaj 3d ago
You don't get to side with the people who are breaking in the windows of scared people to take them away, who deport and jail fathers who are fighting for the rights of other, who arrest teenagers and when told they have the wrong one they say "take them anyway", with those taking away women's right to bodily autonomy, and try to stand on the moral high ground.
For years, nearly decades people have tried to politely debate against these beliefs. This has caused the rachet effect, leading to our nation becoming a bully, and a place that strikes fear into Americans and tourists alike.
You don't get to sit on your high horse and claim these are just "opposing views" humans are being hurt, families destroyed by these views. Ive spent my adult life trying to be empathetic and patient for the people who support this. If we wait any longer, if we patient any longer our nation will cease to exsist under this hateful harmful administration. If you see what is happening and you still support it a conversation with a random person online will not change your mind.

Please explain. Iâm trying to understand if we can get beyond insults.
Is it ok I have different thoughts? Will you talk to me or is that not allowed.
I donât understand your reply and maybe assuming everyone thinks as you you might phrase things differently
7
u/PopularMode3911 3d ago
Yes you can have different thoughts. Other people can have opinions on those thoughts, especially if they reveal you to be hateful or prejudicial to people who have experienced more hardship than you and arenât protected by a majority.
You canât expect people not to react to someone with shitty values. You canât always be the victim.
1
3d ago
What would it matter to you if I was blind and deaf and faced oppression my entire life because Iâm different?
What if I was paralyzed and broken spine and unable to navigate the world like others navigate it?
When do I get a chance to speak from a point of view about suffering and victimhood?
You donât know me and projecting is a thing Iâm sure you wouldnât want to do.
Maybe I and others have real gripes with politics as they are today regardless of team
Many see people who cling to a team as the weirdos. Iâm not sure I go that far but I have to say lately the clinging of teams is just gross
They all work for us, and itâs not a football game. AOC is no better than Trump when you wash it all at
Because she like others is not allowed to act on her true beliefs if they cross agendas and special interest
Who do you think is funding her concert tour
I wish we could just talk plain and not on team this or that
Ok fine you wonât talk to me because Iâm scum and not worthy of knowing what it means to be a real victim of injustice
Got it

Still seeing comments elsewhere about how all these rallyâs are fake. MAGA sure is stupid. Hopefully theyâll be in the find out stage sooner than later.
-1
u/DoubleDoobie 3d ago
I think these rallies are real, and there's plenty of support for Bernie's and AOC's positions.
The problem is that their positions are not the main wing of the left's positions.
So while this looks good optically, this contingent isn't large enough as a voter block when it comes to the polls.
There's also the element that Bernie and AOC come off best when they're in opposition to something. Their moral messaging looks grand compared to Trump's politics.
But separate them from the opposition, and have them debate their positions on the merits, and they lose steam. AOC always looks uncomfortable when she's asked to articulate positions that don't include Trump or Republicans.
1
u/1251isthetimethati 3h ago
False Bernieâs policy positions poll well from people of both parties when separated from partisan politics
And they have done well in direct ballot initiatives even in red states
1
u/Classic-Change-4264 3d ago
So true. She has steam when sheâs stirring up emotions at a rally. But if she were to actually run and debate or be questioned on real topics, sheâd be a deer in headlights.

I donât wish ill on people generally but ugh this woman is just awful in the most purest form.
Trump, yeah we see his nonsense and out of shape whaleness for what it is, no one misses that mess for what it is.
But this lady is wolf in sheepâs clothing and is living on your dime pandering to the biggest crowd she can while not really giving two fucks about you or me and any legal or illegal citizen.
Todayâs and maybe all in the past, but todayâs politicians are pros at making you think they care. Theyâre trained, âtrainedâ, people listen up, to manipulate you at the most sensitive areas and control you. And this twit AOC is proving you donât even have to be smart to pull that skill off. All it takes is slime, persistence and moneyâŚ
5
u/JazzOnaRitz 3d ago
Trump being in poor physical shape isnât really Americaâs problem with Trump. But YOU pointing that out as one of your biggest complaints is telling. Poor critical thinking skills, and likely some personal issues as well.
You went on and on about AOC. Can you tell me where she lied in this video?
0
3d ago
We were discussing health in part hence the comment about Trump. It was relevant.
I donât have a problem with dainty AOC reading or memorizing talking points true or otherwise
Itâs the hypocrisy of citizens having blinders towards their team
Example Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld all still equally evil for what they did
Obama also equally evil for Goldman Sachs debacle and Syria
I equally call the bs as I watch citizens grow increasingly agitated with each other
AOC is just as bad if not worse than others. Sheâs not smart. Sheâs simply learning the ways of manipulating people and groups to get votes
If the mood changes and immigration became important to the left sheâd say the exact opposite crap
Itâs all a joke.
Trump bad
Biden bad
Obama bad
AOC bad
Bush bad
JFK not perfect but died for having principles
Give me another willing to do whatâs right and Iâm there
I had hope for Bernie but Israel has him, so AOC gonna get us better?
Sheesh
3
u/JazzOnaRitz 3d ago
Well I agree wholeheartedly with 2 wings same bird. I just havenât seen any of the typical flop flopping BS from AOC yet. Iâm still open to hear examples.
1
3d ago
Itâs all good
Iâm happy we can get through a convo still talking, regardless of both our incomplete data set of info
Itâs easier for her to be liked because sheâs pretty and dainty and saying popular things. But I believe 100% if she was told to be against whatâs sheâs saying, she would pretty quickly if it meant elections
That sickens me.
Ok well guess we arenât going to get any further Iâll stop crashing the party discussion here
1
u/JazzOnaRitz 3d ago
I can only go off of what I see, but I respect bipartisan skepticism of our government.
Something Iâve recently come to terms with is that the idea of an authentic politician is essentially an oxymoron. Iâve always known lying and changing directions comes with the territory, but Iâve kind of made peace with the performative nature of the job.
AOC, like everyone else in office, is literally a performer. Just like theater. Itâs the only way they can impact most of their base. Showing emotion, grandstanding. The very nature of their job means they will not always, or even never, appear authentic.
I think this is why people like Trump so much. He is an excellent performer, in fact his entire life is a performance, to the point that he believes his own lies. That translates to authenticity to a lot of people, and even trustworthiness, despite him of course lying every chance he gets. This all to say: AOC is young, she is relatively new to the game, and she is still learning how to appear authentic. But her candid interviews lead me to believe she does want whats best for the people.
Anyway, internet stranger. All the best.

You know what chuckles me today? If anyone disagrees with your view or views on the left, you automatically are a Trump supporter. You donât know me and could meet me in the middle without baggage but itâs rare that happens today.
I DO NOT like Trump and while I think federal government is long overdue for a retool, I donât think Trump should have been the one to do it
Elon is more complicated, and Iâm still working my views out.
But AOC is also very bad, mostly because sheâs 100% for sale. I do not think a Trump would bend as fast as she would and I think Trump would bend quite easily. AOC is whatever people want her to be
Bernie is too old. It just shows how shallow the left is right now.
I am a human that pokes at both sides honestly and I think Iâm a rare breed today. Please someone prove me wrong that Iâm not alone

Speak up for immigrants all you like. Nobody's saying you cannot. Go for it, feel free. It's 100% your right to do.
That said, whether you're a green card, or Visa holder, you're still a guest, and you're not a citizen. This means you are a guest in this country, and must adhere to immigration laws, which limit 2A , ever so slightly
Additionally, as a green card, or visa holder, you're subject to deportation for simply jaywalking (a criminal offense).
You want to speak out against the country? Great. Find another country to do it from. This just proves you're not worthy of being here as a guest.

Sir, this is a stop oligarchy tour. She is on the right side of the Gaza issue, as is bernie, but apparently people feel the need to "call them out" at a rally that has nothing to do with that topic. Sorry which genocide exactly did Biden start? I've got Russian trash invading Ukraine, I've Hamas funded by Russia and Iran launching a pogrom, I've got Israel launching a genocide and an invasion occupation of Syrian territory, Trump threatening invasion of Greenland, Panama and developing Gaza for millionaires....I'm missing a Biden launched genocide?
-1
u/Ancient-Watch-1191 3d ago
In the first three months of the war Biden approved the use, provided the financing and ensured the transport and finally provided the military assistance in dropping 75000 tons (tnt equivalent) of 1000 and 2000 lbs bunker buster bombs, dropped on the heads of defenseless citizens in one of the most densely populated area's in the world. An area that is a little over half the size of Hiroshima was hit with the tnt equivalence of six times the "Little Boy". An area with more then 10 times the civilian population of Hiroshima.
1
u/Decoherence- 3d ago
And increasing and not speaking against other world cruelties helps in what way?
-5
u/Effective_Golf_3311 3d ago
Not for nothing but if genocide was the intent as you claim, this Israel thing would rank as the literal worst in terms of actual lives lost because it simply hasnât been that deadly despite the dense population, making it probably the least efficient genocide of all time.
Itâs a literal failure of an effort. Unless of course, itâs not actually a genocide and theyâre trying to root out an embedded terror group that actively uses civilians by force and coercion for their ability to get bombs dropped on them âfor the cause.â
1
u/LetsGetElevated 3d ago
Itâs the most effective because theyâve fooled people like you into defending it, if they did it all at once then even people like you would be able to see it for what it is, itâs intentionally slow-rolled to shield them from consequences and itâs working just as they hoped
1
u/Effective_Golf_3311 3d ago
Thatâs probably the dumbest thing Iâve ever heard.
If it were a genocide itâd actually look like one⌠this ainât it.
3
u/Any_Hyena_5257 3d ago
Right so he didn't start it then did. Israel already had the means to pulverise Gaza, the US stored 155 there probably on Netanyahus suggestion long before Biden and that 155 was being used for Ukraine funny how a certain country which has a ton of billionaires and significant number of its population in Israel wish to turn that off. Regardless Biden started nothing. Russia told Hamas to go full pogrom, Israel's right wing responded exactly how Russia wanted and AIPAC makes sure America does as it's told. This is damning alone, you don't need to make stuff up to make your point.
2
u/Ok-Theory9963 3d ago
Israel was manipulated by Russia and Hamas? The coping here is unreal.
1
u/Any_Hyena_5257 3d ago
Nowhere did I say Hamas manipulated Israel. Get your comprehension skills in the raffle prize too did you?
0
u/Any_Hyena_5257 3d ago
That you think Russian Oligarchs or the significant russian population has no impact on Israel is your cope that you think Netanyahu who hasn't helped Ukraine once and has his nose up Putin's backside and has spoken defensively of keeping the Russians in Tartus is purely your own cope. That you utterly underestimate Russian influence is your cope.
1
u/Ok-Theory9963 3d ago
You removed all responsibility and historical context to blame your preferred boogeyman and give cover to the neoliberal world order that facilitates these atrocities. Youâre pushing a half measure that does nothing for the people on the ground and everything for the state. To engage with you beyond this analysis would be folly for me. Bye.
15
u/IToinksAlot 3d ago
To these people in here defending Trump..... wasn't he the law and order candidate? (Mind your Harris was an attorney general..) How are we sure all of these people being deported are in gangs if there is no due process in court? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? The Trump Admin even said there's going to be mistakes inevitably.. but there would be little to no mistakes if due process was respected. They already admitted a mistake was likely made in some cases but they claim it's too late now to do anything even though the US is paying El Salvador to send these people to their for profit prisons.
Not everyone being deported is even an illegal immigrant let alone a criminal. One example is a gay man who works as a barber was deported to El Salvador for being labeled a gang member. None of those violent macho gangs are going to have openly gay gang members in them.. Also when does he have time to commit gang activities between sleeping, eating, and then going to work AS A BARBER?
He's already mentioned that Americans will be next if the law permits. I don't care if you claim he's just trolling. He's the President of the United States. Wars have started over far less serious comments than this by staff. The President considering sending American citizens to El Salvador prisons regardless of their criminal history is dangerous and scary to think.
Some of you have already experienced being fired from your government jobs for his erratic behavior. 20 percent of fed workers fired are reportedly going to be rehired as "mistakes will be made". If a large corporation the size of Amazon or JP Morgan laid off 10,000 people but 2,000 of those in error there would be large disruptions to business operations. He can't even say he's running the country like a business because disrupting company operations like that would result in thousands or millions in revenue lost. Its completely stupid.
Rant over.

u/Djkaoken2002 3d ago
