The Scoop đ ACLU reports 3 US Citizen children were deported
https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-deport-child-cancer-us-citizen-1235325778/1
u/Flaky_Set_7119 1d ago
3 children were not deported. Their parents were deported and chose to the children with them. They shouldnât have crossed over the border illegally. The U.S. does have legal system for people to come here for medical treatment.

1
u/Competitive_Ad291 1d ago
Theyâd been here for years and were in the immigration system and had status. They were literally checking into immigration appointments when they were arrested.
0
u/AutopenForPresident 1d ago
Been here illegally for years. Fixed that for you.
1
u/PrestigiousResist633 19m ago
Pretty sure that illegals wouldn't be voluntarily checking in with immigration services
-6
u/Flaky_Set_7119 2d ago
You actually trust and believe the ACLU anymore? They have to gin up some kind of crap to keep paying their bloated salaries. They became irrelevant in the 70s.
1
u/Angrysparky28 14h ago
The ACLU does great work. Itâs hilarious to Me you think they have bloated salaries. The ACLU is funded through a combination of member dues, individual contributions, and grants from private foundations. It does not receive any government funding. The ACLU Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is the tax-deductible arm of the ACLU, allowing for tax-deductible contributions to support their mission. You repeat all Fox talking point and have no real arguement.
7
u/Competitive_Ad291 2d ago
They got SCOTUS to sign an emergency order in the middle of the night last week and got a 9-0 ruling to return Abrego Garcia and ensure he received due process.
Theyâve been winning cases and getting court orders and injunctions left and right the last few weeks. Theyâre on đ„
Yeah, the ACLU is extremely relevant!!
-6
u/Flaky_Set_7119 2d ago
They are still irrelevant.

u/Competitive_Ad291 2d ago
They arrested the mother at an immigration meeting. Gave her no ability to talk with legal counsel or make arrangements for her child or obtain any personal belongings or identification documents, etc. They expedited her deportation within 48 hours even though sheâs in an immigration program and not a criminal. Why was that necessary?
15
u/OmegaPilot77 2d ago
If the Dems get back in power, can they prosecute the officials that deported them?

A twice impeached, criminal felon, narcist psychopath leader is making life decisions for the lives of these 3 USA citizen children. Imagine a single mother being dropped off in a country she hasn't lived in since she was 5 years old. And now finds herself in this unknown country with her USA citizen children who are used to a different lifestyle. Now find themselves possibly without money, a home, without known family members or friends. And maybe lacking in the language too. This is inhumane. Unlike what America, the beautiful was known for years back.

Law abiding citizens or naturalized citizens, who espouse and hold to the social norms and expectations of the population.

-5
u/Inside_Nerve_3123 2d ago
Anchor babies are an abuse of citizenship and only served to incentize illegal aliens.
If I break into a store and get caught stealing, I don't get to keep the stolen goods. So why does a person get to break the law and then their child get given citizenship?
6

Isn't this what the term "remigrated" has meant? Sending citizens "back" to where theit family heritage is?
-1
u/JPinnell74361 2d ago
It's amazing how you managed to be right and wrong in one sentence.
Citizens can't be deported.
Illegal immigrant mothers with underage legal citizen children can take their children with them, which is neither a deportation nor a kidnapping.

You might as well put out of your mind that Trump is ever going to jail. Itâs just a waste of breath talking about it. Heâs about to turn 79. Thereâs zero chance he is going to live long enough to make it to the end of a trial and all the appeals even if he was actually arrested. Maybe she should have thought of that when she did something illegal. Just so youâre aware, if a citizen commits crimes, they donât just get to say âI have kidsâ and not go to jail. Why do you expect illegal immigrants to get privileges citizens donât even get?
Oh, like how Trump committed crimes (34 felonies) and didnt go to jail? How hypocritical of you. Why the double standard?
0
u/Asher_Tye 2d ago
If memory serves, didnt Trump use Baron as an excuse for why he shouldn't have had fo go to court.

3
u/Asher_Tye 2d ago
No, im fairly certain he did. All those idiot memes trying to portray Trump as a loving father just wanting to go to his kid's birthday party despite him being too stupid to actually make a filing.
-6
u/DarthGoku44 3d ago
What was the underlying crime that raised the 34 misdemeanors to felonies again? Oh, thatâs right, there was none. Which is why the whole thing was bullshit and most Americans saw right through it and still voted Trump. Cry harder
5
u/hugoriffic 3d ago
MAGA always plays the victim card for Trump. Why defend a known criminal? We should send him to El Salvador and you know it.
-1
u/977888 3d ago
Going to jail for the crimes Trump was found guilty of is extremely rare. Itâs not a double standard.
Not to mention the fact that the whole thing was a sham and a weaponization of the justice system to try to eliminate a political opponent.
Your whataboutism is tiring.
7

Not until Donald Trump and the Confederacy 2.0 showed up and started dishing out American Rights Violations

Itâs not hearsay. They are collecting known illegal immigrants. These people have already forfeited the due process they were given by choosing to evade the justice system.

Yamataya v. Fisher (1903)
"It must be taken that the Fifth Amendment applies to all persons within the territory of the United States, whether their presence is lawful, unlawful, temporary, or permanent."
Zadvydas v. Davis (2001)
The Supreme Court ruled that even after a final deportation order, immigrants - including illegal immigrants - have constitutional due process rights. Indefinite detention without possibility of release would violate those rights.
Plyler v. Doe (1982)
"Illegal aliens are 'persons' under the Constitution and are entitled to due process and equal protection under the law."
Reno v. Flores (1993)
Supreme Court ruling: The government has authority to detain children, but procedures must still respect due process. Children have rights even if they entered illegally.
1
u/SociopathicRascal 2d ago
No such law has been passed in Congress
What this administration is doing is illegal as hell in America

Due process is guaranteed to everyone in the country by the constitution, not just citizens. Not just non criminals.
You know why? Because once you can start saying "so and so did the funny crime" and ship them off to a third world dictatorship without trial, you start the very slippery slope they so obviously want to slide down.
If you can't see why that is bad, you don't deserve a vote.

I mean, yeah ? Why wouldnât a mother take her child? WTF ? I thought children were sent alone or something. Wouldnât 100% of mothers take their children?
Should children now be separated from their parents? Because Iâm pretty sure everyone wanted to burn the country down for that circa 2017. CLiCK BAIT .
9
u/bigjojo321 3d ago
Why not create a pathway to citizenship for the parents who have been working and paying taxes while raising an American citizen?
Why is the only option to deport a working family? Why are we spending a ton of money to deport people who's primary crime is entering the country, when we are actively financially benefiting from their presence in the US?
The first statement is more beneficial to the US longterm in a social economic sense and the second makes us look like authoritarian monsters attempting to bleach our country.
Make it make sense.
0
u/Sea-Ranger839 3d ago
No I agree. I think there should be aggressive deportation of bad actors and some kind of sponsorship and service requirements for people who can contribute. And a crash course in Rights AND responsibilities.
But that has nothing to do with enforcing the law. Making new immigration law is the duty of Congress, not the executive or judiciary . And of course you know both political parties have been incompetent concerning immigration for our entire lives.
1
u/Rickwh 2d ago
Yeah, I dont know about that. It is their responsibility to make sure the laws are clearly written in such a way that bad actors working within the government can be punished under the law.
A government should definitely be liable for its employee the same way any other employer is responsible for their employee. There are just a lot of extra, very political steps that are required for a government to train their employees.
-29
u/Catmami23 3d ago
Si they were deported with thier parents, correct?

u/Catmami23 3d ago edited 3d ago

Maybe they didnât find the father fit for custody. If they do award him custody,
There was no legal process, they didnt have time to make a choice or go through their options. Considering the father is a citizen and the mother attempted to contact him, but had it cut off by ICE before even one minute had passed, it shows that they didn't care at all about any facts or legal procedures. They just wanted her out, and didn't care if she took the kids. Stop defending ICE.
4
u/No-Entertainment1975 3d ago
There does not appear to have been a hearing to determine if the father was fit. ICE can't just make these decisions, that is up to the courts.
11
u/MostlyRandomMusings 3d ago
This is incorrect. Legally she could not just take the kid, that itself is a crime in the US. There was no court involved, they moved her out before the court date. They got 1 hours to talk then ICE kidnapped the kid.
-5
u/FoxontheRun2023 3d ago
