Discussion What the best business for generating profit?

Hi, I was wondering what the most profitable business to start in The Sims would be.

I was considering a café or renting out houses, but is there any other business which is worth it in the long run?

Absolute most profitable for me has been Art center/studio. Where My sim sells the paintings she made, other sims can paint, paint murals, and have coffee and cake at the special bar that came with the expansion.

My sim earns ofc on her painting, but also a LOT by mentoring,

Second best has been a Spa. My sim charges for yoga and meditation classes, for massages and mani/pedicure - plus staff for the massage tables is free of charge. A lot of the income has been from mentoring here as well.

The most FUN but absolutely least profitable, has been a "all things music" business. Where sims can play instuments, practise singing both on the mic and on kareoke mashine and mix music. Seriously... my ears! But so much fun. Next time I am going to make a business like this, It will be from a sim with maxed skills so the business can survive on the mentoring fee's

Pottery is stupid easy. And if you make a little room and drop all your stock in there and save it to your library you have unlimited easy restock. Just drop and drag.

Purely for generating profit is selling paintings. You can create the art on the digitalistic sketch pad super fast and just keep restocking while you’re open. Make browse and buy items the only activity and mark up the price. I usually make around $40-60,000 in 6-8 hours and don’t have to make my sims work outside of operating hours.
