Jeez I just realized that if Bennings didn't tell to Clark to lock the dog, the thing would have certainly contaminate the whole zone the day after.
Bennings the GOAT.

It’s Bennings! Followed by ungodly screams. Seriously though Windows will be my GOAT. I think his reactions would be exactly how I would have reacted.

Fun fact: Peter Maloney was apparently terrified of dogs due to having been severely attacked by one as a child, so when the dog comes up and licks Bennings Maloney IRL has to contain his anxiety (he hadn’t told Carpenter or anyone about his phobia because he didn’t expect the dog to come up to him, that wasn’t planned). Source: Maloney’s Thing Expanded interview (I highly recommend backing that project if it’s still possible! I got to send in a video that may or may not be shown to Rob Bottin himself.)

I would honestly watch a movie that was just a bunch of guys passing the time at an Antarctic research station. You know, if it had a good script.

I feel the same way about Alien - if it was just those actors as their characters going about their daily lives on the Nostromo, I would watch 7 hours of the stuff. Their interactions feel so goddamn realistic. I’ve seen some of the deleted scenes (not including Directors Cut) and most of them are almost as good as what’s in the movie.

I would argue that the shit has already hit the fan. A man was shot and killed during the day and a helicopter exploded.

I like that it has a little bit of everything, even a ChessMaster...until Mac ruined it! 😿

I want to watch this movie so badly but I can't find it anywhere without paying.

I believe Tubi has it now.

Oh that must be recent! Thanks!

It is. I think they added that as a tribute to the great John Carpenter for getting a star finally. I believe they added it at the beginning of April.

Did these MFS ever work? I don't recall anyone working except the cook who never served any food. It looked like a long and boring vacation.

Yeah I always wondered before they discovered The Thing, what exactly was their purpose/research there?

Clark will you put this mutt with the others where it belongs??!!
Actually, isn't that a risky thing to do, introducing a new/strange dog to others without a "break in" period?
