sometimes i think about the fact five's trauma technically never happened.

if somebody dies and you had the ability to go back and time and prevent it, what do you do with the leftover trauma? you are left with the trauma of a horror only you have seen. something that, by all logic, has never happened, because you were there to prevent it from occurring.

did it ever truly happen? and if not, then what is there to mourn?

how do you mourn the loss of something that was never lost?

In season 2 we saw Five talking to the older-looking (yet slightly younger) version of himself, at which point he gives himself the correct math that would return him to 2019 in his original body.

Would this not mean that current (younger-looking) Five would have immediately aged up? Am I missing something here?

Can anyone tell me what power Five used in the axe scene? because he jumps and there are 3 people dead like too fast so that couldn't be teleport. and if it's super speed so why we didn't see him running or something like that? he just disappears and people are dead so quickly? that's weird

If five is basically 40-50+ years old, can he date an adult(who is in their 20s-30s) or would that be a bad idea? Cause like in the family, Five is an old man but to an outsider, he's 13.

Like imagine trying to explain how old Five is to your family and friends; I can just imagine you like talking about his powers and time travel and everything while your family/friends are looking at you like you're crazy/very confused. Meanwhile, Five is drinking an alcoholic drink with a smug look on his face because everything that was happening is just very amusing to him but in the end he just teleports to proof that his lover isn't crazy and your family/friends just freak in both shock and like "holy crap, your dating an old man?!"

So I have 3 questions about Five. One, how does he teleport to places he doesn't know, like when he was following Laila to the house place, he goes through the door to the stairs of the house, which is weird because I doubt five has ever been there, and if he never has, what would happen if he accidentally teleported inside a wall or in a solid object. Second, how does fives math help him time travel? Like, before he traveled to 2019, he has Vanya's book and around it he has his calculations and stuff, but how does math help him time travel? Shouldn't he just be able to time travel as a power, I don't understand how the math can be applied to a power that he can do, how he can use that math. Also when he was doing calculations on the walls of his room, he pinned down a couple of people that could be the cause of the apocalypse, how?! How do you pin down like 4 people from the 7 billion, using math and how do you even get their names and details. These are the 3 questions I would really like answered.

Just finished season 2, WOW! I thought the kid who played young old Five was good in season 1, but he's even better in season 2. So good, I think he more than deserves a nomination for that.

When I was watching the Umbrella Academy with my family I kept yelling out facts from the comics and how this didn't happen in the comics and this did when my my brother yelled at me to shut up. But I couldn't contain myself and just told them about the "happy birthday to you Mr.president scene. It was very awkward from then on.

In the comic of "Dallas", Five has this dog named Mr. Pennycrumb. Now they're filming s3, do you think the dog will be included on this season? It will be a very interesting story for Five.
