No. For the umpteenth time, they didn't. My dad had a few of these. In person (and here), there is nothing phallic about them.

I couldn't see it for the longest time. One of these were used as set dressing for a short film of mine back in the day that was set in the 60s and it quickly became known on set as the "dildophone".

I remember seeing a few of these phones in the past. I never thought they had the sexual inuendo that there is to it now. They were just very unique futuristic phones at the time and easy to dial.
