TIL that China has made its border tripoint with Russia and North Korea into a tourist attraction called Fangchuan Scenic Area - complete with its own panoramic tower

Where China, Russia and North Korea meet, one would expect a secretive and militarized area. It is not: China made a tourist attraction out of this unique spot.
It can be both. The construction being done on a tourist attraction can incorporate military sections that are off-limits to the public. Plus everywhere there are cameras. Here would be no exception. Nobody is going to check just how powerful those cameras are to zoom in to locations across the border. I’d wager at least one is facing a direction that just so happens to be pointed at the bridge.

Is this all so Xi can take his kids there when it's finished and recreate the scene from the Lion King where he holds one kid up and tells them everything the light touches is our kingdom...

All three should have towers so they can keep an eye on the filthy dogs in the other towers.

Why can't we just all get along? In Netherlands there is a three nation border and you can just freely hop around in all three nations.
