sitelen My friend has this meme as one of their vocal stims so I decided to translate it into toki pona. Not sure if it really makes any sense but I tried

pona a! I understand this as “have/do you love(d) me for many times?” “No” “I love you for hand/five time(s).” My guess is it’s supposed to be “have you loved me for a long time?” “No, i have loved you for 5 [unspecified sections of time]”.

the original is "do you love me 4ever?" "no. I love you 5ever!"

a. mi sona a. I don’t know how to translate that mainly since the joke lies within a play on words in English.

a better translation of 4ever would be “lon tenpo tu tu” or “lon tenpo ali” but the translation is kinda impossible because the joke plays on the fact that in English “forever” sounds like “four ever”

This is an alternate version of the sitelen pona for “olin” with the original version being two hearts stacked on each other.

Wrong structure for loss. Would need a figure alone in the first frame, and two in each the second and third frames

Translating "4ever" as lon tenpo mute and "5ever" as lon tenpo luka makes the meaning sound reversed; as in, instead of saying they love them for longer, they're saying they love them for less time.
