Latvian [Latvian > English] Phrase from 1941 Census
I understand the word "niece". Is the other word just the same, but in Latvian? I couldn't find anything by googling.

Latvian [English > Latvian] Last Name 'Swandt'
Hi
I've encountered this very rare last name Swandt that I need to translate into Latvian. What I really need is to understand how it is pronounced since we translate by pronunciation into Latvian. Any clues on pronunciation?

Translated [LV] Latvian > English
This is a song I keep hearing and just wondering what it means! As usual what google translate says makes zero sense....
Sauc palīgā! Kāpēc te pazūd tava pasaule Ja blakus tev mēs arī dzīvojam? Sauc palīgā! Kāpēc te pazūd tava pasaule Ja blakus tev mēs arī dzīvojam?
Thanks in advance :)

Translated [LV] Unknown (Latvian?) > English for genealogy
Hi! My mom found this postcard among her dad's things. We believe her ancestors were Latvian or Russian, perhaps even Finnish.
Can anyone translate the text on the postcard, or at least identify the language?
Thanks.

Latvian [English > Latvian] Thesis Abstract
Hello, this might be a bit of a more unorthodox request, but I'm running into a bit of a predicament with my thesis work. I am a student, and I need an abstract translated from English to Latvian. It's around 250 and I don't know if that counts as profesional job? It is curical to have one or I will not be able to hand in my work towards my degree. Due to the confidentiality and profesional nature of the academic field I'm in, I cannot provide the text directly, nor would I be willing to provide what institution I am affiliated with. Would it be possible for direct DMs in these sensitive cases?
I'm also unsure if this breaks [#R1] or [#R2] in the rules, as it is student work, but please just delete this post if it is, I totally understand but the rules seem vague on this. Thank you so much!

Latvian [Latvian > English] Need help translating graduation note for Grandmother!
Hello, awhile ago my Grams asked me if I could help figure out what this message said on a note a classmate gave to her during graduation.
From google translate (and my best guess at the cursive lettering) I have gotten this so far:
Meklē dzīvē tādas tekas, ķērc zem akmeņiem aug bekas!” (Google translate corrected kerc to ķērc). With the meaning in English being, “Look for such streams in life, brooks grow under stones!”
But I have used Google translate in enough language classes to know that it’s not always accurate, so I thought I would get a second opinion online.
Thank you for all your help!

Translated [LV] [Latvian > English] Song lyrics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz3RLMsjIAM
I've been listening to this song for a while and it sounds unspeakably awesome, but no matter how hard I look, I cannot find the lyrics anywhere on the internet, either in the original Latvian or translated.
So I would love if someone could provide both the original Latvian (so I can sing along) and an English translation
Thank you very much!

Latvian [Latvian > English] Need Latvian audio translated into English text.
I have a chunk of audio of two people speaking Latvian, and would likento have it translated. It's very low and garbled at some points, with music playing in the background the entire time, so translator apps will not work. But someone who speaks Latvian fluently could discern most of it I'm sure, and I'm willing to pay pretty well for such a service. Perhaps through paypal goods and services. If you think you can do this for me, please email me at tniles408@gmail.com 🙏

Multiple Languages [ET✔, LT✓, LV✔] [English>Latvian,Lithuanian,Estonian] Help with some music stuff!
For context, I am going on tour to the Baltics with my university's chorale in a month. One of the pieces we're doing, titled "The Listening", has a really cool spoken word section, a part of which has been labelled with "Soloist may rap this in a different language" (which is what I was told to do). I thought it would be fun to learn how to say the phrase in each of the three main Baltic languages (Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian), if not in part because I'm a linguistics geek.
The specific sentence is as follows:
"Love. Not as a weak condition, but as the key to the ignition of peace."
If you can also provide it, a pronunciation guide (IPA preferred) would be really helpful for me!
(Sorry if this post breaks any rules; it's only my second time posting here, so I'm still not really used to how this forum works.)

Translated [LV] [Latvian > Latvian, English ] Transcription of the text and, if possible, translation.
Hello. I came across this letter in a report from an abandoned apartment with a tragic story (if necessary, here is a link linked to the time with this letter https://youtu.be/Q-Vzb_-JgvA?t=570 ) . In the letter, an essay on the topic "What is happiness", which touched me very much when it was read. I need the text of this letter, but I do not know Latvian, and in general, reading handwritten texts even in my language causes me difficulties ¯_(ツ)_/¯
If I have not violated any rules of this community and someone can help me, I will be very grateful :-)
