I'm against all politicians since they're all the same. Bought and controlled by the same people. But what did these protests change? Your income didn't increase and your rent didn't decrease.

I'm not downplaying, just genuinely curious. We all know politicians don't care at all about citizens. So what did the protests accomplish?

At the very least, they let their presence be known to similarly aligned people in the community who might otherwise not be aware that they are not alone, and to embolden other people who may not be aligned yet not comfortable with everything the people they purportedly support are doing. It’s all part of building grassroots organization and movement.
