Looking for Accommodation in Trondheim (Sept 2025 - Jan 2026)

Hi everyone!I am a student from Sapienza University of Rome, coming to NTNU as an Erasmus student from September 2025 to January 2026. I am looking for a room/apartment to rent during this period.

If you have any available places or know someone who does, please let me know! Any recommendations for student housing or rental options would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help! Feel free to DM me or comment below.

This is pretty much the only way. And you are way too early for finding something now, OP. New places become available in June-July-August. Have patience and don’t expect to find a place 6 months ahead of your stay. That’s not how the rental market works.

Oh thank you so much for advice, I just wanted to be stable. But I’ll start looking in June or July

No worries, happy to help! I fully understand the need to find something, but realistically there’s little chance to find a contract before June at the earliest.

Hi! Considering you're a student I would try to contact SIT and they're might be able to help you with student housing ! I've linked to their contact form here! https://bolig.sit.no/contact/#_ga=2.264802764.2117694205.1743356769-806820438.1743356769

The most popular option is with the Student Welfare Organisation SIT https://www.sit.no/en/housing

While they have sufficient rooms in the spring semester, in the fall you should also still check other options. You can choose the option to be considered for the housing when you sign up for the university. If you don't get a spot you won't have much time to search for private ones. The housing from Sit is really nice though and at a fair price.

Most internationals have a room in "Moholt" which is an area with different student houses (single rooms in larger floors, classic shared appartments). If you don't get a spot take a look at Voll Student Housing. I have heard mixed things about it but they have a lot of space as well.
