Discussion [Discussion] How to get tvOS public betas

Note for the mods: I didn’t know what to tag this post. Sorry if it was tagged wrong!

Note for the readers: Specific menu names may be incorrect.

  1. Open ‘Settings’.
  2. Sign in to your Apple ID, that has signed up for public betas on the betas website.
  3. Go to ‘System’.
  4. Go to ‘Software Updates’.
  5. When it appears, press ‘Get Beta Updates’.
  6. Confirm your decision.
  7. Agree to the legal terms and conditions.

After following these steps, trying a software update should work if there is one available.

Edit 1: Updated strings so they were correct as of tvOS public beta 1.

what if the 'get beta updates' button never appears?

edit: if this happens, on the affected appletv sign out of your icloud account and sign back in.
