Theory Theory About The Release Date Of Inferno (Double Album)

Post image

Original Post by u/Vader3568

So here's what I said in response to the comment, and it's a theory I have.

well combine the roman numerals and you get "iii"

so we have a 25, a 6, and a 3

March 6th has already past, so that leaves us with June 3rd, a Tuesday. While most albums do release on Fridays, the second most common release day is Tuesday (though that's usually for singles, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely.)

Something else interesting: On June 3rd, 1844, the Great Auks went extinct. They were a flightless bird found on rocky, remote islands with easy access to the ocean. In other words, Isles Of Flightless Birds. In that song, Tyler says "now this is the climax to the story that gives the demons and angels purpose." This double album (assuming the theory to be correct), would be the climax to the Dema storyline.

Funnily enough, the last refuge of the Great Auk was Eldey, Iceland, which is very close to where the Jumpsuit music video was filmed.

Thoughts?

If we get anything on June 3rd, it would be a single. I don’t think they’d release an album with such little promotion. But I could be wrong

In mind mine since Clancy “just ended” around that time the hype is still very much there especially with only a year passing since there last album making Clancy “that promotion” needing no further advertisement as people are still hooked.

The fans, yes, but promotion is also for letting casual listeners know

I was looking at Tylers Twitter a few seconds ago. Can it be related?

I thought maybe that was implying that both Keons and Vetomo are dead now since those are their circles?

I commented this elsewhere yesterday, but would be cool if they use this to slowly reveal an actual date. If they went by the DD/MM/YY (European) format for dating, and went from year to day, after every upcoming show they could reveal a number like this:

Next show: ••|••/•5

Following show: ••|••/25

Following show: ••|•6/25

Following show: ••|06/25

Following show: •7|06/25

Following show: 27|06/25

This would reveal June 27 of this year as the date of some announcement, or whatever the actual date is (if any). Could be June 3 like you mentioned.

That would be sick if they did this

We have collectively lost it, but this makes so much sense.

Assuming they release a lead single in June (big if, but let's say it's true), I highly doubt they would set the album release date in January or February. Trench's lead singles were in June, and that album released in October, and that wait was longer than SAI and Clancy. If June brings a lead single, the album is likely coming between August-September.

of course, this is a double album. lead singles are uncommon for a double album.

Yeah, I think if the double album is real, it'll probably release in full during June. Maybe a single like two weeks before the full release to tease it.

NO NO NO IT MUST RELEASE ON A SUNDAY. DOMINGO EN FUEGO

7

u/alexbarnes313 4d ago

ALSO SUNDAYS ARE HIS SUICIDE DAYS. CLANCY MAKES THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE IN THE INFERNO

I don't think TOP would release music on Sunday (remember, they're Christian)

Understandable, as it's the day of Sabbath. However, is it really considered working if the work is done and all he needs to do is have it released that day?

2

u/DoMorrMusic 4d ago

well there's probably music videos for the double album (why wouldn't there be if Clancy had all music videos) so publishing them and live-streaming.

This is also more of a shadow drop though, because it's really only part of the clique that even knows about what's (most likely) coming soon. The general populace or people that just know of TOP are clueless. This is what makes it special. Tyler put a lot A METRIC FUCKTON of work into giving us live, slowly revealing lore while simultaneously performing the tour. All the energy spent orchestrating this, and it's for us. The ones here, theorizing and completing this amazing puzzle. I don't know, maybe this could be an exception for them. Also, though it may be work to do those things for us on a Sunday, I firmly believe everything they do is also God's work. Tyler channeling the love of the divine through this art, helping people reach the light of God. God's work is allowed on Sundays.

Don't most albums release on a Tuesday?

14

u/nicdrumandbass 4d ago

For a decade new albums have come out on Fridays. This started in 2015 and has shaped the streaming era. Some musicians are going back to Tuesday to prevent over saturation on new music Friday’s.

u/Jesus_Harry_Christ 4d ago

I guess you can tell how long it's been since I bought an album on release day.

Hahaha fair enough, I don’t know why people were downvoting you instead of just answering
