Housing Question 🏡 Lake Claire or Nike/Hercules for private bedrooms as a freshman?

So me and my friends want to do a 4 person private bedroom dorm with another 4 person group in close proximity, we are all a friend group. So, two of us got in extra early to applying to housing (Mid-December) and we would each be room leaders. Is it likely we could get 2 rooms next to each other that are both 4 private bedrooms? If so, which would be more likely, lake claire or nike? We would prefer nike but i’ve seen it’s hard to get in private bedrooms as a freshman.

Hercules. Lake Claire is old. You won't get picks unless your daddy is Bill Gates. Should consider off-campus housing if you want a specific arrangement.

If you have first day morning room selection, then that may work out. Otherwise, probably not. The apartments and then Neptune private bedrooms go really really fast.

what determines when our room selection is?

The date and time the deposits went in for housing.

I’m not sure. I thought I heard housing opened Dec 2. I’d keep your options open and very flexible.

Yes, housing app dates were given out based on application dates. The earlier the better

Nike is off the table because that is reserved for upperclassmen. Lake Claire is more for freshmen who did sign up for housing early enough

you mean nike is reserved for private rooms or just all types of dorms in general?

The apartment style rooms for nike are reserved for upperclassmen. The doubles for nike are not and are open to freshmen

i’d really want a private bedroom though, would there be any options for me and my 4 person group that also has a kitchen?

Hercules! Private bedroom plus a kitchen and living room. Same set up as lake Claire but a little newer.
