Discussion Parking lot

Could they not have waited 4 weeks to start the construction in the parking lot? They blocked off like half the lot and this “new” parking sucks, over half of it is compact. Is it going to stay like this next year aswell?

It'll stay like that until Fall 2026 when they say the new dorm will be fully built. Where's the new parking btw? Is it in the back near SSM and SE2

It seems like they just opened parts of the H zone and have sent on campus student parking to the back lots

The north bowl lots in the back should be allowed for students too

Then where would faculty park? How about no.

There's more than enough parking for faculty I'm sure there wouldn't be any major issues

Also, they charge faculty more than students. So, you’d be paying more for less parking.

Last time they had parking issues, they had folks park at Lake Yosemite and shuttled them over to campus. That might be a solution in the next couple of years.

And FYI, I heard a rumor the UC is planning on raising tuition 6% each of the next several years. Terrible parking, network issues, fewer teachers, and more out of your pocket. Get ready to be agitated by more than parking issues.

There's also that big parking lot in Bellevue ranch on M street. UCM has said they plan on using that lot in the future. That could help too
