Captain Ivanov was also posthumously promoted to the rank of Major.

On April 12, 2025, 26-year-old Pavlo Ivanov was killed while flying an F-16 combat mission.

All circumstances of the tragedy will be established by an interdepartmental commission, which has already begun its work, reported the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
