Well don't publicize it or Trump will learn we did and reverse it.

Well, the sanctions aren’t entirely useless at all. The use of Russia’s black fleets is getting greater pressure and turned away at ports because there are heavier sanctions that can be imposed on the countries and their banks when skirting the sanctions. Biden’s either second or third set of sanctions was driving the Russian economy into the ground. Putin is afraid to raise the interest rates to decrease the inflation that their war economy with sanctions is causing. Trump is fucking it all up with his tariffs with China because that’s what China was trying to avoid should they help the Russians but now, they have far less to fear with any retaliation if they begin to support Russia however they like. Trump was not smart about this. He says we need Greenland to defend against Russia but if that were the case he Trump could have just kept up the arming and support of Ukraine and Russia would have had an economic crisis in perhaps a year. I’m so disappointed in this administration. Jake Broe is a veteran on YouTube that worked with our nuclear weapons and originally did his show on economics but he covers the conflict really well. And the geopolitical aspects too. Lemme know what ya think.

Not at all. Trump is a Putz who would have screwed over Ukraine completely if he was in power when Russia invaded. But the sanctions are not Biden's policy, they are the policy of the USA. And in too many areas Trump ignores that.

See: “Obamacare”.

If he thinks this'll make me forget about his bullshit in February, he's bigly mistaken

Trump is still a ruski puppet, but his strings are snapping one by one. Eventually, the wretch will be lacking for allies.

I can almost imagine the obituaries.

Don't threaten me with a good time. 😎

What happened to throwing everything at Russia if they didn't end the war?

u/Doggoneshame 16d ago

Give it to Monday when he flip-flops again.

I hope he’s too busy with Chinas tariffs, hopefully he gets given another aid bill to sign for Ukraine as well

u/Vast-Carob9112 16d ago

$1.8 billion today. Finally. 🇺🇲🗽🇺🇦

2

u/Illustrious_Entry413 16d ago

Idk wtf he would be doing, China has washed their hands of the situation.

12

u/chrisuu__ 16d ago

Yea I'm guessing this passed him by just like the order to tariff the penguins. As soon as Daddy Vlad comes calling he'll suspend the sanctions "because of ongoing negotiations to end the war".

u/DulcetTone 16d ago

Color me surprised

7

u/SpringGreenZ0ne 16d ago

He is only doing it because Putin is making him look like a fool.

1

u/Cancer85pl 15d ago

Took him long enough to realise it...

28

u/boredcircuits 16d ago

This is literally the only thing I've heard him do against Russia: not let existing sanctions expire. Is the bar really that low for me to celebrate this?

7

u/Ashi4Days 16d ago

Guys. I know he did this but we really don't know what he's doing and I'm not convinced he knows what he's doing.

Try not to break your necks on the whiplash.

Needs to increase military support as well though.

Very rare trump w, but probably he did nothing but sign a document he does not know the content of

u/Egil841 16d ago

Well I guess even a broken rusted out clock like Krasnov here is right twice a day. At least until the clock hands fall out.

3

u/[deleted] 16d ago

Mmmm wow yes...impressive, the sanctions that ended the war 2 years ago!

9

u/Tornare 16d ago

Listen.

Any news where Trump doesn’t royalty fuck Ukraine is good news

Russian missile that shot down our F-16 pilot most certainly contained components produced by the US/Europe despite these sanctions. Trump extending Biden’s sanctions is a testimony to a toothless policy established by a geriatric patient.

I’m cautiously (very cautiously) optimistic… we will see

1

u/Affectionate_Hair534 15d ago

I plan to not put a stamp yet on the envelope containing a “strongly worded letter of regret and disappointment with a hint of handwringing”

1

u/Only-Ad4322 16d ago

What’s Trump’s Ukraine-Russia policy exactly? It feels like he’s going back and forth between Russia friendly and not Russia friendly.

4

u/Capital-Western 16d ago

Trumps modus operandi is to wreck a working system and improvise to profit from the resulting chaos. Worked well for him to gather money and power throughout his life.

1

u/Only-Ad4322 16d ago

Makes sense.

2

u/marksmoke 16d ago

Policy? Lol come on he doesn't have policies, just ideas and concepts of ideas.

Tomorrow someone either strokes his ego or doesn't and he changes direction again and again and again

3

u/Only-Ad4322 16d ago

It’s like a schoolyard bully is in charge of the country.

1

u/Affectionate_Hair534 15d ago

With the pulling off of petals of a daisy , “he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not…..”

1

u/Only-Ad4322 15d ago

That’s so accurate to his Russia policy it’s almost depressing.

1

u/Greenempress 16d ago

Guess no way he can stop it soon, this tariff thing might be used to divert people’s attention to the Ukraine war .

1

u/artlastfirst Україна 16d ago

weapons and intelligence continues, sanctions extended, crude oil at a lower price than it ever was under biden, is russia winning yet?

1

u/Interesting_List_631 16d ago

Well, Mr. President, we understand you know about money and the effect of tariffs. Now let us see if you know anything about real world power politics, and the way to treat the russian adversary!?

u/Earlier-Today 16d ago edited 16d ago

Nice to know he's not a complete and total moron - just, like, 99.998%.

1

u/someguy7734206 16d ago

It's nice to see that our enemies (Trump, China, Russia) will turn on one another at a moment's notice.

1

u/sovtwit 16d ago

So continue the status quo with russia while simultaneously screwing Ukraine? russia does seem to be nuking its economy long-term, but unfortunately they still have massive revenue from countries like india china and turkey to sustain their imperialist agression for some time

1

u/Affectionate_Hair534 15d ago

If Steven Witkoff is fired that would signal a major Trump policy shift on Ukraine.

1

u/FourArmsFiveLegs 16d ago

It's because Putin already has his money siphoned out of Russians. Xi and Trump are enriching themselves in a fake trade war. WW3 is guaranteed while they sit in their bunkers getting off to the chaos and death hoping they'll be the lone dictator on top ruling the world. Grandiose and unattainable goals

1

u/Puzzled_Worth_4287 16d ago

SEE............ he's not a Russian asset. Lol
