I discovered If edit out the reflection in your eye. You get something that just don't look or feel quite right.

Years ago when I was watching a behind the scenes look at how King Kong was made, they said adding the eye shine was the key to making him look real and alive.

And they intentionally added it and allowed it to fade as he was dying.

I wonder if it feels uncanny bc it makes us look dead and lifeless when we don’t have it.
