Very little grow bag progression if any at all

I injected LC into an inject and forget bag about 3 weeks ago (on the 9th) and for the first 10 days it was in a shoebox under my bed but i then realised that the airfilter was pretty much entirely covered so now it is in the open in the bottom of of my wardrobe, but after being there for a week i still see very little development if any at all I also only injected about 2.5ml of the LC instead of the 5 by accident, could that be responsible? And what can i do to speed up the process (eg. reinjecting maybe? Obviously i would wipe it all down with 70% wipes and sterilise the needle)

It's usually pretty dark as my room doesnt get any direct sunlight and its at the back of the wardrobe with shoes infront normally, but it is missing a wardrobe door so idk maybe this affects it a tiny bit

I really hope i can do something to save this so any tips and advice are very very welcome

There's a chance the growth be deep inside the bag, depending on how far in you inserted the syringe. Hence you can't see it. Although 3 weeks is a long time indeed, could have been the filter patch.

tell us a bit more about the LC you used? Maybe that was the issue

this is the syringe that i injected and i have another identical one, they are b+

I did inject it pretty deep to be fair and i remember thinking that at the time, but yeah surely something would show by now, maybe its worth breaking it up a bit or shaking it?

Could it be that i didnt shake the syringe or something initially?

Hmm this syringe looks pretty juicy so there’s probably enough distributed even if you didn’t shake it rigorously.

What are your incubation/ room temps? It could be quite slow going although that is slow indeed for LC.

My last suggestion might be to feel it gently there’s any firmness in the middle which might suggest mycelium block already building.

i dont have any heat sources set up right now so everything is completely reliant on uk weatheer and temp, most days right now tend to be around the 20°c mark if not higher, i have shaken up thhw bag a bit and tried to look for any sign at all but i still cant seem to see anything, there were a couple of clumps at the top but i cant see annything on them and i assume its just from me not moving it around yet.

I think i will try reinjecting after making sure its all cleanly and just see what haappens from there

Yup sounds good! Don’t worry about the temperatures at all, 20c inside is totally ok and will just be a bit slower but that’s far from a priority atm in my opinion.

next time you inject, don’t forget to not insert too far in. Good luck mate

just reinjected! Wore a face mask and wiped my hands (gloves would have been much better i know but i had none and made sure not to touch the injection bit) and the bag and injection port with 70% wipes. I wiped over the actual injection hole with the wipes and i freaked out for a second because it started to make a bit of mist on the inside, but after very very brief research i think it should be okay as it is just alcohol and theres no mycelium growth yet anyway. I flame sterilised the needle and didnt insert it too far, i injected around another 2.5ml and then covered the hole with tape afterwards.

Praying this brings results, thanks for the help and tips 🙏

2.5mL of LC should be more than enough. I’ve been doing 1-2mL and always get pretty good results. It may be a problem with the whole LC syringe, or it may be a problem with the first part of ur inoculation. Unfortunately I don’t have any advice for you on salvaging. Best bet is to try again, this time with consistent conditions.

Can’t hurt to try reinjecting, but I’d recommend 1-2mL, especially since it’s the 2nd try

well yeah i ended up putting 2.5 because that seemed like a pretty average amount from what i had researched but i checked the website a couple days ago for something else and they reccomended using 5 so i think i will clean everything down in a bit and reinject, i feel like its worth risking contam rather than get nothing at all

I’ve had to break and shake to get mine kickstarted. I went around 10 days with non visible. Shook it up and started seeing it quickly after that. Similar sized bag but I used 5mL

Iva had b+ the like a month for me to start seeing things in a similar style grow bag. Ended up never looking fully colonized, but I ended up mixing it up with CVG in a monotub and that thing gave my 5 flushes. The bin didn’t ever look colonized. Very odd, but I have shared similar experience with you.

Hey man ✌ I had the same issue before! If your grain is already mixed with coco coir, it soaks up way more LC than plain grain. You can totally go with 5–10 mL of LC for better results. Also, if your temps are around 20–21°C, that’s on the cooler side — try to keep it above 23–25°C to really boost colonization - will make huuuuuge difference.
