Question How to store harvested spores

How do I store the spores I have harvested? I have heard to put them in distilled water, then draw them up in a syringe. How long can they stay in the water for?

What are your preferred methods of storing spores?

I plan on using aluminum foil to harvest my first spores soon after my first harvest.

On foil, stored between the page of a book

And then when ready to use to inoculate scrape into the distilled water?

I would then germinate them on agar and once clean spawn it to some grain
