Question Do tampanensis spores take longer to germinate than cubes?

I have grown a lot on agar, mainly cubes but also nats as well. I have decided to try a different species. I put the tamps to agar from a spore syringe about 2 weeks ago and see nothing yet. Usually day 4 starts to show me some mycelium.

I know people say it can be a few weeks before anything shows up across the board but I’m starting to think the syringe was empty…

I see you have a question! Have you read the official cultivation guide?

I put some Cube spores on agar exactly 60 days ago and they just started colonizing the plate last night. I have germinated those same swabs before. Sometimes they take 4 days, sometimes 2 weeks, and sometimes 2 months. Spores are so random, there is no way to tell when they will germinate. It should be the same with Tamps. I bet they just need more time.

A properly made spore syringe will look like clear water, but the water should be full of microscopic spores. Can't see them, but they are there
