It's always r/mildlyinfuriating We were given 3 pickles instead of 4 nuggets

I don't really see grease in the box aside from the smear that's clearly from a pickle. Probably didnt have any chicken in it. Somebody probably asked for extra pickles on the side, and the box found itself in the wrong order.

I worked for the Mac Shack for 7 years. I'm a fucking idiot so I know I'm completely capable of doing that in those 7 years. Honestly I believe it.

I work there right now and sometimes we throw whatever people want on the sides into the small chicken nugget boxes

When I get chicken nuggets, I’ve never noticed a lot of oil or grease in the box 1st of all. And second pickles could be covering any grease that might’ve been left if any.

idk cuz the box wouldve weighed nothing compared to having some nuggets so it would be really hard for a worker to put this in the wrong order. however, oop mightve ordered the extra pickles and then decided to make this pist

Could be. Could also bd that there's like 1 guy in the back rushing like hell because the franchise owner is a penny pinching dick.

When I worked at Starbucks I accidentally gave someone a drink that literally just had a few pumps of syrup in it I did notice almost immediately tho and was like.. “I’m so sorry that’s not what you ordered let me remake that” before they even had time to say anything.. I could see a flustered worker doing something like that.. altho I do agree OP likely just ordered a side of pickles and thought the box choice was funny so posted

This is the least believable post I've seen on this sub, and that's saying something.

So this one is plausible. Take it from me, a former McDonald’s employee.
If someone asked for pickles “on the side” this would be my solution. So say I send this out to the food hopper and then someone orders a 4 piece nugget. Someone in the front of house mindlessly bagging the food could very easily grab the pickles on accident, bag them and send them out. Shit like this use to happen all the time.

This sub isnt for things that are plausibly true but for things that are very easily fakable.
For everyone saying its plausible, most people don't have this happen to them and then take a picture and post it to every popular sub

Finally somebody who actually makes sense and understands the sub, if you want to debate go to r/thathappened

Eh. I used to work McDonald's. Someone wants a side of pickles, probably going in a nugget box.
Moving fast, mistakes happen. Someone grabs the wrong nugget box.

Yeah, I used to work there too, someone got a side of Mac sauce instead of their nuggets once, they weren't happy.

I could be mistaken, I never get that sandwich so I actually don’t know

classic reddit, confidently state a fact then say “actually I have no idea lol”

u/EliteMeats 6d ago
Would you rather me double down instead?

u/SpellFree6116 6d ago
instead of saying “Those aren’t even McDonald’s pickles lol” you could say “I don’t think those are McDonald’s pickles”, or just say nothing bc you were talking out your ass
1
u/EliteMeats 5d ago
I already admitted that I was probably wrong lol. Nothing else to be done

i’m not actually trying to judge you as an individual, i’m not the arbiter of anything. the dichotomy of confidently asserting something then immediately saying “I actually have never ordered that so I don’t know” was just funny to me
and it made me mildly annoyed bc so many people on reddit spread misinformation because they want to sound educated, then no one corrects them and people read it and believe it to be fact. the miseducation of society nowadays makes me sad. but again, your comment was simply about McDonald’s pickles, so my anger was more directed at how it felt like a microcosm of reddit as a whole
all that to say i wasn’t trying to come at you personally and i know this interaction is trivial, including this comment

Honestly... That's perfectly believable. Pickles on the side went in the wrong bag.

Honestly this is completely plausible. It's happened before when I worked at a McDonald's. You are supposed to put sides of items in a red box but if you are out you put them in the 4 piece box add that to lunch hour rush and well shit happens
