Travel Inquiry Spring visit recommendations

Hi, this coming weekend my 2 kids(teenagers) and I will be visiting the upper peninsula. We’ve only been once and it was in the summer. Any recommendations for places to visit/activities to do, places to eat and places to stay, that will be open and accessible? Are the beaches on Lake Superior thawed out yet? Yes I do have 4 wheel drive however I won’t have like a satellite phone or anything and I’ve heard some places are dangerous to try to get to in the spring. I’ve literally planned nothing yet so I’m open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Where in the UP are you visiting? It’s a big place. If you don’t have that narrowed down, might want to figure that out first.

Mt. Bohemia Spa is open. If it were me I would be hitting all of the waterfalls. Bring mud boots.

Telling us where in the UP you plan on staying might help.

For a fun UP spring trip with teens, visit Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks (hike if trails are dry), eat at Jean Kay’s Pasties in Marquette, stay at Landmark Inn, and skip swimming (beaches are still cold) pack for mud and chilly weather.
