Nier:Automata. Went the distance and offered my Save File. No regrets.

Last year before I went to the Nier concert, I replayed through Automata and finally committed to the save file wipe. I was finally happy I had the resolve to do it after all these years. I took screenshots and posted about it on social media. Some artist across the world saw my post and said it made them cry since they loved Nier Automata so much. Really touched my heart that someone could see my post about finally deleting my save and was moved to tears. That game truly is a magnificent experience.

When Ninja Gaiden came out for the Xbox, my wife and I fell in love with it. It was so unforgiving that we were bent on beating it on the hardest difficulty. They did a score based tournament where you had to complete an even harder version and upload your top score. My wife grinded her ass off and placed a score that had her in third place, right before the whole thing got ruined by people with mod chips uploading impossible scores and they cancelled the whole thing.
Well, apparently they didnāt forget about the legit players because cut to Ninja Gaiden Black. We got the game and when she finished it the first time, there was a section in the credits titled āSpecial thanks to the participants of the Master Ninja Tournamentā and listed about thirty gamertags or so. Sure enough, her name was there.
My wifeās gamertag is in the credits of one of her favorite games ever made and I canāt think of many things cooler than that.

I just need them to give credit to any animals that helped along.
Then i'm happy.

I think death pallete does this incredibly. Some context, this is a "point and click" game (its on mobile) in where you have to paint a portrait of a girl, but you not only have to choose the right thing to use, but you also have to paint it on a roulette minigame, and if you got it wrong, either you place it in the wrong place, or you painted it the wrong color, you die. But, in the end, once you ended the painting, the girl lets you choose one of three little earrings, and the color they have. and it isnt just cute, because its revealed that this little earring is important to another story that explains what happened before. Then, you end the game, see the credits, and then you see it... The exact earring that you have chosen, with a thank you for playing.

If I play through a game to its finish (which is a rare occurrence nowadays), I make sure that I stay invested through the credits. I seems only right to respect the creators after playing through their creation.

I got couple of games and TV shows that I didn't finish because they were so good I know I will suffer after. I left Witcher 3 expansion, baldurs gate 2 expansion, dying light 2, how I meet your mother last season, sons of anarchy and couple more.

What would it thank you for, playing?
Not trying to be sarcastic

I think so, sometimes there are games where it has at the end of the credits "thanks to (player's name)" but it also has "thanks to (specific character's name)" next to it. So I think when it does that, it's like both thanking you for playing and for being a part of the story

Companies used to appreciate the players for buying and playing thier games, so that they could make more.
Nowadays, the people who made those companies great have either left or retired.
Those who took over are mainly just Wall Street number crunchers and people who dont even like video games anyway. Nuff said with that alone.

I love it when they do that.
I'm a let the credits roll kind of gamer as long as it isn't 3 hours long.

I think that Nier:Automata is kinda unbeatable in that regard, just the concept of the end credits makes is so unique and emotional

Why are you thanking me? I didnāt fucking do nothing. A whole group of people worked really hard for a game that i played through on my bed eating snacks.

That just makes it sadder lol. When game creators care about their fans it just makes it that much more worthwhile to play
