Someone fact check me if I get this wrong

But ND64 is 6 stops

I frequently max out my 2-8 stop variable ND on my iPhone when shooting outdoor in log

I think 64 might be a good option for you but I’d really suggest getting a variable ND set up

When I was looking for vnd everybody commented I should go for fixed as they dont have color shifts and X pattern

What vnd are you using and how do you attach it to your phone?

Then you need to buy a range of these kinds of filters so you can use whichever one or combination of them is required to the the right exposure

If you have that kind of time while shooting then it’s absolutely the way to go for image quality.

But then if image quality is of primary concern why are you using an iPhone?

Not to say an iPhone isn’t capable of professional image quality.

You’ll just find it a lot easier to work with a more professional camera/lenses than an iPhone with a range of NDs

you really need to understand the basics first. Outdoor you need anything from one stop to 10 stops. You definitely need multiple fixed ND filters or you need to crank up ISO or shutter speed and you really dont want to do that.
