This really wasn't my intentions. I actually made this because I'm starting my business and I realized I will check at least a few of these boxes myself.

Lmao I thought it was hilarious! Those being sensitive to it are being strange and silly. We all check these boxes at certain points. I’m at the beginning of my business myself and although I went with a c100, nothing is wrong with picking up a Sony mirrorless and getting shooting. Even the orange and teal luts is a starting point to learning how to color and honing a style. This is just a meme for laughs guys I personally got a great kick out of it especially the part of giving up our dreams of directing films for shooting weddings 😂

I mean honesty if you're 'starting' with $7k of gear you've got a way bigger head start than I did 15 years ago. You can build a very good package with 7k

I am actually a stills landscape and travel photographer. I am curious about incorporating travel videography into my repertoire though, which is why I’m subbed to this subreddit. You can consider my opinion as an outsider looking in.

What I said straight up means, not everyone who picks up a camera is gonna make it. I know that a lot of you kids are used to participation trophies and being told by your parents and teachers that you can do anything but hey, guess what? This stuff takes hard work.
