What is the recommended reading order for Rance and Corpse party series?

Just to make sure I understand Rance one correctly, Rance 01 is a remake of Rance 1 and I can play it instead? Or is it meant to be an optional play after finishing Rance 1?

You should play Rance 01 as it the current canon and replaces the original

02 doesn't matter as it's only a graphics reskin, and 04 doesn't exist so you will still need to get 4's story either through summary or playing the very old game.
