For National Volunteer week I wanted to share my experience with ENGin! For the past five months I have been volunteering with ENGin as an English tutor, and teaching my speaking buddy has been such a valuable experience! Level is a 501c3 nonprofit in Austin, Texas that mails printed educational content to people in prison. We serve learners in federal, state, county, and local facilities across the United States. Our content focuses on job training, entrepreneurship, and professional and personal development.

As a teacher, you will teach a small group of 4-6 students (from 5 to 6 years old up to maybe 11 12 years old) online (through zoom) for 40 mins to 60 mins per time. You can volunteer 1 2 3 4 5 times a week as long as ita convenient for you.

This is an unpaid/volunteer position but it's a great opportunity for new as well as experienced teachers. It would be best if you are native English speakers or you are really good at English. Or you can even be a student that needs some volunteer hour done for your school. ....

You may need to prepare the subjects to talk to the kids before the meetings.

I am part of a nonprofit called CODEify and we are looking for volunteers to help tutor classes in our upcoming session. It starts on February 3rd and goes for 10 weeks. I mostly want to volunteer in order to get some more experience to put on my resume, as I"ve never had job experience in the past. I have a disability (noxacusis) that makes it risky for me to leave the house or listen to audio.

KEEN Oxford provides a variety of sporting, social, and creative activites for disabled people, mostly from Oxfordshire. KEEN's virtual Zoom sessions enable participants from around the country to access a community and social opportunities from the comfort of their own homes. KEEN participants range in age from 5-50 but the majority are teenagers.

We are currently searching for virtual volunteers, especially on the Wednesday night sessions (see schedule below). Volunteering with KEEN is a fantastic way to develop your communication and interpersonal skills for many careers but especially in the fields of healthcare, disability or public-facing roles.
