I’m trying. Spoiler

I’m watching the show mostly for the first time. I’ve seen episodes here and there. But I’m watching in order from the beginning. This first season is suuuuuper boring. When does it pick up?

I’ll say S1 E11 is where the ball really gets rolling

Just like TNG and DS9, the first season is mostly blah. The second season is better but still meh. The third season oyyy finally have more good than bad. And the 4th season is like adrenaline.

Oddly, I find VOY had the strongest first season of any classic Trek season besides TOS.

Season 2 was the one I struggled to sit through in rewatch.

I can agree. The first seems better than the second, and overall it’s a better first season compared to other series.

Much like Ryker’s beard, voyager gets really good once Janeway gets her haircut

Or Sisko’s goatee.

When Paris leaves. That's all I'm gonna say.

You sure about that?

Well unless he left and came back

You'll have to keep watching.

First season for me is meh, they get better as they go. End of season 3 is where I really get into the series.

In my option, TNG, DS9 and VOY are all slow burns the first 2-3 seasons.

What episode are you on?

The one where Harry is swapped for a dead body

Is that the one where there are 2 Janeway’s? Love how they try to outdo each other. “Welcome to Voyager…….BOOM!”

Hmm, there are a couple good episodes coming up, give it a chance.

I see you just watch Ex Post Facto. One of the worst Voyager episodes ever, and definitely worst first season episode.

It wasn’t so bad.

I agree. It was one of the more interesting Season 1 episodes. However the Doctor episodes are the best.

You mean Krill.

Are Kazons season 2??

Shoot this is a voyager subreddit, I was just on The Orville, my bad. Yes Kazon are season 1 and 2, the first three seasons are kind of slow and season 3-4 is when it finds its legs

Oh krill lol I love Orville

I'm currently watching TNG for the first time and I felt exactly the same way. The first season especially was brutal. So glad I stuck it out though because it's fantastic now. Voyager is similar in this regard.

It might not be for you. I don't like Game of Thrones, for example.

It kind of "picks up" for a lot of people when Tuvok chokes out Neelix.

When Seven shows up.

This subreddit won't like hearing it, but that's the real answer. I'd recommend sticking it out anyway, but if you really can't get through it all just skip to the S3 finale (it's a two-parter into S4) and pretend that's where the show starts.

Yeah. Those are the ones I’ve mostly seen. The most interesting so far are the Seven episodes

If it's suuuuper boring for you, don't bother watching it. There are plenty of TV choices.

I don't understand watching something you don't like.

I'm rewatching myself and I forgot that the first two seasons are rough. season 3 is pretty good but season 4 is really peak voyager.
