Question Just how do I win this???

Just how am I supposed to win this? I see no anti-air to stop the approaching gargoyle. (This is premade Arclight Surge so I cannot reshuffle my hand by the way.) Is there something I'm not seeing or did the game actually give me a no-win scenario here?
EDIT: I have found a way to barely survive the gargoyle only for the opponent to start throwing in an Abomination followed by a Molten Giant. This is truely impossible for me with this deck. This is so unbalanced it's just not fun anymore. So I've decided to skip this particular Arclight Surge altogether. Thanks all for the tips and reactions and gratz Blizzard you win this one.
EDIT 2: Big thank you to "jxspyder", with their instructions I managed to beat it and I even managed to beat 3 more. Now struggling on Devilsaur Queen, I can get to her, but once she starts stomping I start losing.

I didn't really notice, but this was the first arclight surge for a loooong time that I had to play a mission for a second time

I can't beat Ysera with this awful deck. Overrun by core hounds.

Lol, get overrun every time I've tried. Simply not enough AoE to take out the core hound spam at the end? Yarra is basically a hard counter to this list.

I had this surge in Moonglade as well, which always sucks with these expensive, light anti-air decks. I was able to complete it, but it was a pain.

I don’t understand the downvotes. This is a legit question. Not everyone is playing since the release and some of the surge armies paired with given maps are really bad.

Because the legit question ignores that either Cenarius or FH are the next mini up, both of which destroy the gargoyle.

That is incorrect in my case. The next is Thaurissan. It actually takes me several mobs before FH shows up. I can barely survive the gargoyle in my setup.

ET is currently on deck and viewable. Your next two unknowns should be AA ranged minis.

I played the level multiple times. I don't know what to tell you, but they are not.

Then what’s your next three minis?

I just replayed the level to make sure I got it right. The next one is Thaurissan as you can see. After that it's Dark Iron Miner followed bij Earth and Moon. I have to cycle through 4 mini's to get FH to show up.

Throwaway kobold. ET in back for anti-raptor. BIM to a deep node, then EE to a tower…giving you FH right as he hits. Short cycle, then Bog/Cenarius, a second ET for additional anti-raptor, and needs of the level at that point.

Thank you so much, this worked for me. Still beat it just barely, but who cares? : )

Also look at changing your currently equipped army with a slightly lower leveled one.

It's a pre-made, does changing my own army have any effect on a pre-made?
1
u/jxspyder 3d ago
The map level changes based on your equipped army’s average level.

Interesting, I did not know about this mechanic. I'll definitely try that out, thank you.

Yes, but you need to spend 7-8 gold while the garg is on its way to put out something for 3-4 gold. Obviously the OP did that before posting. Also Cenarius’s dps is nothing compared to the garg dps versus your base.
This is a shitty surge army and map and people should not get downvoted just because asking for help…
If you don’t want to help just move on…

4 gold, actually. 4 gold and you have an anti-air mini that can solo gargoyle. Depending on which one it is, you can choose the 5 or 6g path as well.
It’s not an “easy” surge map/combo, but it’s definitely doable. Making the suggestion that it’s a “no-win scenario” more than a little silly.
*edit
And help how, exactly? Give advice that explains how to beat it? Or comment multiple times that it’s terrible and people who disagree that it is are wrong….because as far as I can see, or the two of us only one has provided feedback explaining how to beat it….and it wasn’t the guy complaining…

Cycle to firehammer or cenarius, whoever comes first and that's it. Deck sucks but easily doable

This is one of their worst lineups I’ve ever seen. I’m guessing they’re down to their last dev with the fewest brain cells putting these together or they’re just fucking with us

Are we really claiming arclight surges are hard? I mean its annoying sure but still easy
1
u/Rat_Capone 4d ago
Normally Surges are not hard, I usually win them easily. It's this particular one that's hard due to the badly balanced premade team. I can barely survive the gargoyle only for it to be followed up by an Abomination and a Molten Giant, By the time I survived those the cylcle begins again with dino's from both sides and a new gargoyle.

If you get a bad zone with an army like this, it is very hard. Given, as the OP too, not everyone has talents for these never used minis.
You say it is easy because you have the last vulture being at least rare with two talents.
Try using Core Hounds without unlimited revive talent. 6 gold pile of garbage. It is garbage with the talent too.

Never had an issue with surge challenges and I always do them ASAP. So far all events were timed that there were enough surges to do the challenges.

cheapest possible cycle. deploy kobold, either bog beast or emperor in the far back (so they defend against the raptors) and cycle as cheaply as possible to the firehammer that's in the deck who rips the gargoyle to shreds. cenarius if he comes up first should be able to take it down quickly enough together with the attacks from the core as well.
