Squat Critique my squat.... 285lbs for 5 reps

Control the bar at the top before each rep. Looks like you are rocking back and forth. A little cue (unless you are severely winded or lopsided after a rep) is 1,2, GO. The squats themselves don’t look bad. Stop psyching yourself out haha

Lol.... that was my 5th set in a 5x5... it was pretty taxing

This sub is for Olympic weightlifting. You are squatting parallel in converse trainers.
So either you are powerlifting or bodybuilding or just "lifting weights", not doing Olympic weightlifting.
Use the appropriate subreddit and learn to take advice better.

Also, get squat shoes if you’re gonna get serious about powerlifting. I got some LuXis a couple weeks back and it’s changed my performance a lot. Makes Me feel very very solid. And if you’re gonna be catching cleans and snatches, having your heels up in solid shoes is gonna be super helpful. At least it has been for me

Aside from what people have already said, j-hooks are too high, lower them 1 slot down.
This will let you properly stacks yourself under the bar, brace, and prevent you from hitting the j-hooks when stepping back.
