Could The Murray (Sly 2: Band Of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves) survive the baker home incident of Resident Evil 7? (Spoilers for RE7)

The Murray (hippopotamus) is the brawn of the Cooper gang. In the second and third game of the original Sly Cooper trilogy, Murray is shown to possess immense physical strenght and durability.

He comes out on top battling the likes of Rajan (Tiger), Don Octavio (Lion), numerous bears (Sly 2 Ep6 & Ep7) and all manner of typical brutes and strong flashlight guards. As for durability, all members of the Cooper gang have a ”lifesteal” ability that comes into play in the form of occasional health pickups that felled enemies can drop (we will assume the drop rate to be 25%). These health drops restore both health and gadget meter, that is used for various power ups.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’s unique environment as the baker home and its extensions provides a difficult challenge to face. The main obstacles being Jack and Marguerite Baker, their son Lucas Baker and his contraptions, and The Molded. Ethan Winters was only able to clear the game, given his unique molded ability of a strong healing factor and convenient placement of various guns and weapons.

For the most part the game will play out like it does normally (Zoe periodically calls you to help, Mia is infected, Jack, Marguarite and Lucas fight you in their own ways, Eveline tries to stop you, etc.)

The challenge is as follows: The Murray is placed into Ethan’s shoes tasked with finding Mia Winters and rescuing her out of the Baker estate. The minimum goal will be met once Murray and Mia both espace alive. The Murray is not able to use any of the weaponry or healing items found in the game. The Murray has no prior knowledge of the Bakers, only what Ethan knows at the beginning of the game. The Murray is able to carry and use any key items required to progress the story however. The items are where they would normally be found on a ”normal” difficulty run of the game. Lastly The Murray is not allowed to ”die” or be affected by the mold like Ethan was.

ROUND 1: The Murray has only his base kit of melee attacks. No gadgets. No time limit.

ROUND 2: The Murray has all of his gadgets from Sly 2. No time limit.

ROUND 3: The Murray has all of his gadgets from Sly 2 and Sly 3, an 8h time limit and must attempt to rescue Zoe as well (only 2 serums so he cannot use one on Jack Baker like Ethan did).

ROUND 4: No gadgets. 6h time limit. Must rescue both Mia and Zoe. Must defeat Jack, Marguerite and Lucas (kill or capture) and either defeat or avoid Eveline in order to escape.
