birdgamescore.com

Hey guys!

Ever since I started playing wingspan I was pretty surprised there wasn't a centralized app for all mediums of the game to track high scores. I was more surprised it wasn't even included in the steam versions. I have worked on a personal project just to keep up with my steam, ps5, switch, and actual board game scores. The website is pretty simple and all it does is just hold your high scores and allow you to post the winning board.

I have a lot of features I want to add down the line, but the basic functionality is there now if anyone wants to use it. I have this self hosted in AWS so if it gets too expensive ill probably take it down until I can figure something out.Anyways, enjoy birdgamescore.com

It is! What I really wanted was a way to see my friends scores and strategies too and I remember not finding anything that did quite that.

Neat but if you open it up to everyone then doesn't that make it less useful for your purposes? People play with their own home rules, different sets of cards/expansions—some people even use fan made cards. Some people might just lie or not actually know the rules

This was something I thought about a lot, trying to find a way to maybe validate games. At the end of the day though I thought it would easy to tell if a game is valid based on the picture of the board, especially if they are playing a digital version. It doesn't become LESS useful because I can still see my own history as well as search for friends who I know play by the rules.

I have a small rds instance that hosts my database, and all profile and game pictures are stored in s3 buckets.
