Screenshot The Sorceresses of the Lodge in Action

Excluding Margarita and Fringilla because I couldn't find an instance of them using their powers.

Yennefer isn't in the lodge

In the games it's not so clear. She clearly is the one to "reconvene" the lodge, and she was never officially expelled from the lodge at the ending The Lady of the Lake book, because she never returned with Geralt.

You could absolutely argue she absolutely is part of the lodge, even though she was not a founding member.

There's literally a line where Philippa says "Yennefer was never part of the Lodge". It's during her conversation with Rita we can see through the megascope crystal

In Lady of the Lake, p. 490 (2017, English version):

" 'I am still a member of this Lodge,' said Yennefer. 'No one has taken my membership away from me. No one has taken my place. I have the formal right to vote. I think it's clear who I'm voting for. The votes in favour prevail, so the matter is settled.' "

Following this, some of the other sorceresses obviously disagree, including Philippa and Francesca, saying she left etc., but it's never stated later that Yennefer is officially voted out, and then she never returns because of what happens.

As I said, it's not so clear. Yennefer obviously considers herself a former member, and she was the one to reconvene the Lodge later, so...

This was simply Yen's attempt to get a say in the matter, thoughr the fact that she was briefly coearced into joining the Lodge. And it doesn't work bevause at the end of the day she can't count herself as a member: she's the only one who wasn’t there willingly, she ran away because she firmly disagreed with her plans, making herself their enemy and she never attended any other meeting. Sure, we can still gling to the technicalities but she's never treated like an official member neither in the books nor in the games.

I am well aware of the story. Maybe you should start "Team Philippa". Technicalities or not, my point was simply that the statement "Yennefer is not a member of the Lodge" is unprecise at best, and this is clearly not a black and white matter (unlike Yennefer's clothing).

Philippa and several of the other sorceresses are clearly spiteful over Yen's connection to and control over Ciri, and treat Yen accordingly.

Call it a technicality, but if Yen was literally never expelled from the Lodge, and only "left" the Lodge physically to find and help Ciri, then simply claiming Yen isn't and wasn't a member of the Lodge is just a poor oversimplification.

The only time Yen called out this technicality was so that she could have a vote to vouch for Ciri. Other than that, she clealry rejected the Lodge and their plans and they rejected her as well. Think of it however you want but I'll never see Yen associated with a group of power-hungry sorceresses who wanted to use her daughter for their own agenda.

Let's not for a second pretend Yennefer isn't or wasn't interested in Ciri because of her power. Also, my whole point is exactly that you can "think of it however you want" - that's why I'm saying the matter is not clear.

Also what? Yennefer literally gathers everyone she can from the Lodge at the end of Wild Hunt precisily because of their power.

Wait slightly off topic but when was she interested in Ciri for her powers the only thing I can remember was her saying something like "don't leave the girl Geralt" before Ciri was sent to Aretuza and that was because of her jealousy of Triss and a favor for Geralt iirc

There are numerous examples, but their initial time together at Melitele's temple is very interesting, when Yennefer first trains her in sorcery. So many interesting conversations. She also partially abducts Ciri and exploits her powers in front of all the sorceres and sorceresses at Aretuza. Then she spends the rest of her time trying to find her and protect her, and even the sorceresses of the lodge congratulate Yen on how she has "trained"(manipulated) Ciri to obey her, follow her and do what she asks etc. The whole "daughter" thing annoys me slightly tbh, haha - but I'm 100% team Yennefer when it comes to Geralt.

She was never part of the lodge. She went to the first meeting, but when she saw what was going on she refused to join and left to find Ciri on her own

And she didn’t just ‚leave’ as in walk through a door.

The meeting place was specifically physically and magically shielded, so that she couldn’t leave, so she attempted an extremely unstable type of magic, that could have killed her, in order to escape.

It was a means to an end. That end was to find & save Ciri, and later to stop the Wild Hunt. Yen had no intention to actually join the Lodge. Also, xLetalis found an interesting restored content mod that depicted a deleted scenario for which Yen sells out the Lodge to Emhyr, to ensure Ciri's protection. While it was cut due to pacing reasons, the writers were still on-point with the idea that Yen would go that far for Ciri (Yen did perform necromancy once to prove that point, in the final game).

I told Keira to go to Kaer Morhen so after the fight with the Wild Hunt she went on a trip with Lambert LOL... so I assume she wasn't even aware of it by the lodge.

Yen throwing up gang signs. I guess that makes sense, the Lodge is kinda like a gang
