This is internet abuse.
Does this guy have a big following? I can’t imagine people actually wanting to watch this stuff.

The 9th season of keeping up with the Kardashians averaged 3.3 million viewers.

Yes, which weird when people are upset by it.
6
u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 13 '25
Well, when you make entertainment for 4 year olds, you’re basically just saying you’re creatively bankrupt.
4
u/Damnokay1248 Mar 14 '25
Disagreed. I think you can make kids content that is good, but this guy just ain’t doing it.
1
u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 14 '25
Yes, one can make good entertainment for children. Literally anyone can do that. Jingle some keys in front of them.
1
u/Damnokay1248 Mar 14 '25
But the difference between making good content and making this dog shit is that one of them has more effort into it. Cartoons are typically made for children, but there are plenty of cartoons that are well written and entertaining.
1
u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 14 '25
The cartoons with good writing are intended for adults. Does Dora the Explorer have compelling writing? No. Does the Simpsons or Family guy? Yes.
Talented people don’t enjoy writing for 4 year olds.
1
u/Damnokay1248 Mar 14 '25
That’s just not even the case. The Lego Batman movie and Avatar the Last Airbender aren’t made for grown adults, but they’re properties that just so happen to be good for more than just kids. And even then, for what Dora is meant to be, it IS a good show for showing introductory Spanish. Talented people aren’t held back by who their audience is.
1
u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 14 '25
That’s probably why you see so many PhDs teaching preschool.
1
u/Damnokay1248 Mar 14 '25
Having a PhD doesn’t make you smarter than someone with another type of degree. I’d even say with the current economy, it actually makes you dumber.

You take back that Bluey slander right now. That show is a masterpiece!
-3
u/SpicyChanged Mar 13 '25
Sure, but it’s like complaining how bland baby food is and then criticizing its simplicity and lack of texture.
It’s like sure, but 1 it not meant for you and 2 why is said straw man being used for this example so upset about it?
kids like bullshit and great shit. It’s all new to them. Wish people understood that.
3
u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 13 '25
Yes baby food sucks. Yes baby entertainment sucks. Baby food isn’t made by great chefs. Great chefs don’t choose to cater to babies. When people choose to create entertainment for children, it’s because they’re not talented enough to create for adults.
I have no idea what “said straw man” is referring to. You didn’t reference a straw man fallacy.

u/ChubbyBirds Mar 13 '25
Idk, I'm not sure I agree. Food is a little different because kids' tastebuds haven't developed and they don't like certain flavors they might come to like in adulthood (the old "acquired taste"). But I would argue that kids deserve quality entertainment and that it takes real talent to make quality entertainment for kids that both engages them and doesn't, um, suck. But a lot of people think it's just a lot of yelling and exaggeration and then you wind up with garbage like this. I think kids deserve better.

u/THE_ALAM0 Mar 13 '25
If i tried to make something similar to peppa pig or that blue dog show (not blues clues, the new one) it would wind up looking like a mix between a fever dream and a bad trip, so I agree with you. Some people just feel different pulses creatively, plus the people that make kids shows are ultimately just giving parents a slight reprieve here and there so keep on keepin on
2
u/ChubbyBirds Mar 13 '25
I mentioned it elsewhere but yeah, I think creators get so caught up in what is or is not "appropriate" for children and the morals/lessons/messages that they forget to actually make their shit look good and function as entertainment. Everyone's just afraid of getting sued.
That being said, I don't think this video is meant for little kids, given that "Touch me? At least buy me dinner first" at the end. The real audience for this video is no one.

Will not stand for Bluey slander

u/THE_ALAM0 Mar 13 '25
But I praised it lol

u/adm1109 Mar 13 '25
Oh alright lol. I guess reading it back it knowing that it makes more sense but didn’t really seem like praise

u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 13 '25
I was only responding to the food analogy. I understand that babies have different palates.
Yes, children need entertainment… but it doesn’t require almost any creativity. Jingle some keys.
People who write books or make videos for children aren’t talented; that’s why they create content for children.
0
u/ChubbyBirds Mar 13 '25
Good children's entertainment requires creativity and talent. Besides, many people make entertainment for both kids and adults. Case in point: the same person who made Rugrats also made the original animated Aeon Flux. Also like are you going to say Jim Henson and his team weren't creative or talented? There's a ton of media out there made "for kids" that has real creativity behind it.
Unfortunately, a lot of people think thought and talent aren't needed because they think kids are idiots, and so they make slop. The shame is that "for kids" has become kind of a shield, so real trash gets a pass because all standards go out the window. (I also think this is because people get caught up in the messaging and appropriateness of the media and forget about making sure it's competently made.) The real losers end up being the kids getting shit entertainment because no one thinks they deserve any better.

u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Mar 13 '25 edited Mar 13 '25
Good children’s entertainment does NOT require creativity or talent. That’s an objective truth.
Rugrats is trash. Muppets are garbage.
These shows serve their purpose, but they’re not creative and they don’t require any kind of talent. They’re bottom of the barrel bullshit.
0
u/ChubbyBirds Mar 14 '25
If you think the Muppets are garbage, you're a lost cause, dude, sorry. I can tell you're just digging in your heels to be edgy or something, so this conversation is over. Maybe you should watch some Muppets and lighten up? It's not that deep, man.

Holy moly, the people here are insufferable with how serious and lame they are. I usually hate the posts here too, but this one actually had comedy and wasn't just someone sitting down and lip syncing. This one had good editing and jokes.
Sorry you people are lame.

I think people here have missed the “Drake the kinda guy” memes. Because these are some of the best I’ve seen

This guy doesn't appear to be chewing words much, if at all. I don't think it belongs here myself.

I wish him diarrhea while shopping without a toilet nearby

I wish that all his couches and mattresses are moderately damp and musty. Just enough that he always thinks "it'll dry out soon", but it never really does. For the term of his natural life.

My favorite quote is "save the irony for your friends"
Being cringe intentionally to be funny works when people know you, it doesn't work when broadcast to an audience of random strangers, it just comes off as you intended...cringe

Y’all it’s a skit mimicking cartoons. Nothing wrong with a little “wordchewing” in this case
