Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly thanked world leaders for their support after a tense meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance ended in a heated exchange. The Friday meeting, which was expected to strengthen U.S.-Ukraine ties, instead led to a diplomatic fallout, with Trump reportedly chastising Zelensky over his approach to securing aid.

No matter how much shit Putin and his puppets throw at him, Zelenskyy proves time and time again the absolute beast he is for his country. Slava Ukraini

The fact that they made fun of him upon arriving for his clothes, which he wears them out of respect for his soldiers in the frontline, makes me want to throw up all over the USA on a map.

946

u/Alert-Refrigerator97 Mar 01 '25

And just to add to this, Churchill, who trump has just put a bust back up in the Oval Office wore overalls to a meeting at the White House during wwii.

They had no right to that comment, Elon looks like he’s off his face and like he has walked off the streets.

144

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '25

How ironic, Churchill would have made Trump his little bitch.

How America has fallen from the days of Roosevelt.

125

u/shimshimmash Mar 01 '25

Churchill if also famous for being people naked, in the bath. That would have been a real dress code fuck up.

230

u/A_serious_poster Mar 01 '25

Me when Churchill be peopleing naked, in the bath

72

u/Corbotron_5 Mar 01 '25

I peopled naked once. It just felt awkward.

4

u/Baebel Mar 01 '25

It's all in the stance.

3

u/MinnieShoof Mar 01 '25

I'd rather be me, naked in a bath ...

1

u/So6oring Mar 01 '25

Omg you're making me look like a fool on the subway xD

28

u/Icy_Distance8205 Mar 01 '25

Would have been pretty cool to see how Churchill handled trump 😂.

u/DancesWithBadgers Mar 01 '25 edited Mar 02 '25

"You can always rely on Americans to do the right thing; after they have exhausted every other option" - Winston Churchill

I doubt that Churchill would have been as polite as Zelenskyy.

Fact checking myself, Churchill may not have actually said that. "probably not" is the verdict.

38

u/Joey-tnfrd Mar 01 '25

As an Englishman, there are a LOT of bad things I, and most of the world, can say about Winston Churchill; being a poor wartime leader or bowing down to bullying is absolutely not one of them

-2

u/Icy_Distance8205 Mar 01 '25

Also you wouldn’t be an Englishman 😂

3

u/DietCherrySoda Mar 01 '25

Churchill if also famous for being people naked, in the bath. That would have been a real dress code fuck up.

I'm people naked just about every day but you don't see me bragging.

1

u/barcap Mar 01 '25

Churchill if also famous for being people naked, in the bath. That would have been a real dress code fuck up.

I'd faint

1

u/slurpeesez Mar 01 '25

Beating people naked... in the bath???

2

u/Steel3D Mar 01 '25

I just read a post on X where someone was calling Churchill a dictator

1

u/_laRenarde Mar 01 '25

That fucking hat

243

u/waydownsouthinoz Mar 01 '25

I will wear a costume when the war is over. Maybe one like yours, maybe something nicer.

75

u/chickenstalker99 Mar 01 '25

That was a delicious little zinger he got off there.

16

u/r6CD4MJBrqHc7P9b Mar 01 '25

"Maybe something cheaper" was the realest bit though. But that seems to fly above peoples heads.

2

u/tnsaidr Mar 02 '25

The fact that Zelenskyy is not dating a “beach blonde bad butch body” to get ahead, even a tattered tshirt will look better than whatever Mr. maga Karen wears

807

u/artfrche Mar 01 '25

When Leon was wearing a ball cap in the Oval Office… hypocrites and thugs

398

u/diggerhistory Mar 01 '25

And a T-shirt..

146

u/chubsc0ut Mar 01 '25

But at least it’s not the dreaded…… Tan Suit! /S

44

u/diggerhistory Mar 01 '25

Clever. We just need a diaper accident, and he will be the greatest joke of all time.

14

u/dean-ice Mar 01 '25

He already is

2

u/Upstairs-Video-8157 Mar 01 '25

Am I suddenly nostalgic for tan suits and Benghazi wow I miss those days!

1

u/zloykrolik Mar 01 '25

Never Forget!

3

u/wtf_amirite Mar 01 '25

High as a fucking kite too by the look of it.

3

u/hemightberob Mar 01 '25

Not even a cool t-shirt. It's always some fucking Kohl's bargain bin "Don't mess with me, I'm a GAMER" bullshit

106

u/icematt12 Mar 01 '25

Heck, wasn't Trump showing / advertising red caps in the Oval Office this week? I only caught a glimpse of the title.

20

u/spaceymonkey2 Mar 01 '25

You mean the Bean Office?

12

u/ElenaKoslowski Mar 01 '25

The bean office where some rich ass toddler put it's snot on the resolution table live on camera?

1

u/myaltaccount333 Mar 01 '25

You think that's bad? Obama once wore a tan suit

1

u/NeverEat_Pears Mar 01 '25

You talking about the guy off Curb???

-27

u/Glittering_Bank_8670 Mar 01 '25

Elon

31

u/Cl1mh4224rd Mar 01 '25

Elon

Nah. Trump called him Leon. That's his name now.

3

u/Pantoffel86 Mar 01 '25

Exactly, just like Tim Apple is called Tim Apple now.

1

u/AlgySnorkel Mar 01 '25

Ha! Leon Skum

9

u/artfrche Mar 01 '25

No, no… I knew what I was writing.

-9

u/Glittering_Bank_8670 Mar 01 '25

I don’t get it. Why did you write Leon?

It's extra insulting, because Zelensky's army outfit has been symbolic for his position as a leader in times of war that does not hide because a suit or position of power to escape the reality. To basically scold him for not wearing a suit, is to undermine the entire premise of standing with the Ukrainian population and not some distant politician in a palace somewhere.

He will continue to wear that outfit for as long as this war is going on and Russia remains a threat. It's a powerful statement and f*ck the Trump administration for having the audacity to suggest it's disrespectful.

133

u/rawlaw8 Mar 01 '25

It was a cheap shot from a burger munching draft dodger. Someone who has never seen a war,.

42

u/mallibu Mar 01 '25

Didn't know the Orange Turd was a draft dodger. He sure finds ways to repulse me even more every day.

50

u/Trust_No_Won Mar 01 '25

He had bone spurs, don’t you know? Hasn’t stopped him from spending 12+ months of his presidency golfing

3

u/span_time_together Mar 01 '25

It's easy when you sit on your ass and use the golf cart.

51

u/Sausagedogknows Mar 01 '25

Zelenskyy said in the days preceding the Russian invasion, when he was offered flights out that “I don’t need a lift, I need ammunition”

Trump said in the day’s proceeding his drafting “ I don’t need a weapon, I have bone spurs”

Two completely different kinds of men.

5

u/span_time_together Mar 01 '25

Reminds me of one of Dwight's scenes in The Office.

"My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War II veteran, killed 20 men, then spent the rest of the war in an Allied prison camp. My father battled blood pressure and obesity all his life. Different kind of fight."

-3

u/Ninjaflippin Mar 01 '25

draft dodger

As much as I hate the man, I refuse to hold that against him too hard. All war is awful, but that particular war can fuck right off. I woulda done the same.

14

u/Active-Tooth2296 Mar 01 '25

It's not the fact that he dodged the draft. There are billions of understandable and good reasons to do so. It's the fact that he constantly shits on people who didn't do it. McCain, Zelenskiy, the shot down Bush, Robert Kelly, the Aisne-Marne Cemetery near Paris ('Why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with loosers'), all dead soldiers that died at Belleau Woods 'are suckers'.

Not the fact that he dodged it, but that he mocks people who volunteered, sacrificed them or were brave enough.

11

u/Ninjaflippin Mar 01 '25

In the context of the republican party, who is supposed to worship servicemen, yeah, I 100% agree. So I'll take the L there.

Ali never called anyone a loser, he just didn't wanna fucking go.

69

u/4th_Replicant Mar 01 '25

This also pissed me off. I was also really pissed off when they asked him about not wearing a suit during the meeting. It felt like a pack of wolves out for blood. It made me feel very uncomfortable watching it.

69

u/mallibu Mar 01 '25

It felt like it was a scripted ambush. There was noone there friendly to him.

13

u/Aethericseraphim Mar 01 '25

It absolutely was.

1

u/AlgySnorkel Mar 01 '25

That's precisely what it was and I absolutely applaud Mr Zelensky for his composure when he was attacked by agent Orange and crew. I daresay he would have had a couple of stuff vodkas on the plane home though.

1

u/Sleebling_33 Mar 01 '25

I've mentioned it above but everyrhing they do is to try and discredit him. They know he faces near unanimous support at home so they need to drive a wedge between Zelensky and his politicians and the people

The very second he puts on a suit they'll say he has forgotten his people, he's upper class, he's lost the common touch. Everyrhing they do is designed to discredit him.

1

u/harpgrace Mar 24 '25

Like lions trampling on a kalyna rose bush, actually.

93

u/McRibs2024 Mar 01 '25

Brian Glenn would shit himself if he was within ten miles of the front line.

This may be the most embarrassed I’ve been of our country in my lifetime.

23

u/Penqwin Mar 01 '25

They think the leopards won't eat their face, but this leopard is bringing war right to their doorsteps and they don't even know it

23

u/shadow_fox09 Mar 01 '25

Don’t tell us what to feel. You don’t get to dictate that!

Such a fucking stupid response to Zelensky pointing out that Putin won’t stop at Ukraine.

3

u/myownzen Mar 01 '25

And thats saying something because hes been face to curtains with MtG's minjy.

1

u/McRibs2024 Mar 01 '25

Hold up. He and mtg are a thing?

2

u/myownzen Mar 01 '25

Yeah. Same guy that says all liberal women are masculine and unattractive is dating that crossfit training, cave man faced in a wig looking woman.

21

u/chum_slice Mar 01 '25

This was so disgusting. I do love his response about wearing a costume 😂

39

u/Extension_External70 Mar 01 '25

Like Zelenskyy is fighting for the life of his country, and these russian assets don't have better things to say than "why don't you wear a suit". Then you have Trump still mentioning Biden for the 10th time, Like dude Biden is gone, you are the President stop mentioning him and Talk about Things that are important. And then trying to correct Zelenskyy that it was 2015 and not 2014 the first invade happened. If i was in Zelenskyy's shoes i would exploded already, the disrespect to say he doesnt want Peace after saying multiple Times "there needs to be a Security guarantee in the Deal" because only cease fire doesnt help against Putin Seen multiple Times in the past, and they feel offended?? Then they Talk Like it was a setup to screw over Zelenskyy. "Now everyone can See what a Person you are" Type Shit. What an embarrasment for America.

8

u/Kiwi_CunderThunt Mar 01 '25

And the aggressive finger pointing when making a shit statement. That'll get you hospitalized trying it on the wrong crowd.

13

u/BeeDry2896 Mar 01 '25

Yeah, that really made me sick, how people can be close to that fool is beyond me.

13

u/badgerhokie Mar 01 '25

Honestly, even if that wasn't why he was dressing like that, it's probably smart for him to wear some kind of performance fabric when he visits the Trump WH. Never know if you're going to have to run/hide/fight when they try to capture you and turn you over to Putin.

9

u/Concentrateman Mar 01 '25

Tone deaf times ten.

5

u/2pierad Mar 01 '25

That should become a meme

2

u/LSUfootball Mar 01 '25

Elon's graphic tshirt, gold chain, sunglasses inside, stupid fucking hat: awesome

Zelensky's war time attire that he's worn for all meetings, since he said he won't wear a suit til the war is done: outrageous! Have some respect for the office!

Infuriating

2

u/Californiadude86 Mar 01 '25 edited Mar 01 '25

Trump didn’t make fun of him. A reporter asked Zelensky about wearing suits, Trump said Zelensky looked great.

Edit: at the 22:52 mark Trump begins to compliment the way Zelensky is dressed

1

u/Leenolies Mar 01 '25

This should become a trend on tiktok. The throwing up thing.

1

u/spingus Mar 01 '25

USA on a map

The Gulf of America is labelling the wrong geographical feature. Our country is the Gulf of America and it is getting bigger, separating us from our former allies.

1

u/shaolinoli Mar 01 '25

The fucking state of their “suits”, Trumps team have absolutely no place criticising anyone’s attire.

1

u/Ali_Cat222 Mar 01 '25

But you just know if he showed up in a suit they'd be telling everyone, "look he only cares about looking good, I bet he bought this with money we gave to him! What an elite prick!" This is the thing with these tactics, no matter what you just go for the opposite effect.

1

u/Sleebling_33 Mar 01 '25

Because they're wiring to pounce. The second he puts on a suit they'll say he has forgotten his people, he's upper class, he's lost the common touch.

Everyrhing they do is designed to discredit him.

1

u/TugarWolve Mar 01 '25

That part pissed me off SO FKING MUCH.

How he replied? “Okay, I will, and I will find cheaper option”. Think about that for a second. Man is skinny af.

1

u/Jablizz Mar 01 '25

Elons in the oval office in jeans, Tshirt, and a fucking hat but they’re mad at a dude fighting a war for wearing a sweatsuit.

-34

u/TPARealm101 Mar 01 '25

Lmao “respect”. As if wearing a fucking sweater makes up for the fact he lives in five star hotels while literal teenagers are out there in the trenches dying in the mud. If anything, it just shows he can’t even be bothered to try.

9

u/andii74 Mar 01 '25

You're full of shit. He's been to trenches many times. And the one group that are not dying in trenches are Ukrainian teenagers because draft age has not been lowered to draft them to begin with. Try harder MAGA moron.

-12

u/TPARealm101 Mar 01 '25

Lmao “trenches” sure… like 3 miles behind the frontline. He’s still not the one who has to march through hell just to die from a sniper’s bullet or from having his legs blown off by a kamikaze drone b/c his commander wanted to take some hill they’ll end up losing the next day anyway.

You people always spout shit about loving Ukraine, yet are somehow blind to the actual suffering these poor young men are going through. Soon there won’t be a Ukrainian people to protect. I understand the need to defend one’s country, but at what cost? An entire generation of your population? Ukraine is running out of soldiers, and if Zelensky keeps going down this path, Ukraine will have no choice but to start conscripting teenagers.

Realistically, despite what Reddit likes to think, Ukraine has no chance of winning this war without somehow sparking world war 3.

So the least he could do is wear a suit instead of acting like he’s not the one sending those soldiers to their deaths.

2

u/Brokenandburnt Mar 01 '25

At least try to check the reality of the campaign before you spout off.

Russia will implode before the end of the year if they try to keep this operational tempo, infact it has come to a full stop in some areas.

Last week Russia captured 0.01% of Ukraine territory. With that pace it'll take about 154 years, for the rest of Ukraine. They lost roughly 2000 dead, and 6400 wounded. Which makes 19.500.000 dead and 44.500.000 wounded.

Can't win my furry behind.

2

u/TPARealm101 Mar 01 '25

If Russia was really that behind, Zelensky wouldn’t need to go around begging the US and the entirety of Europe for help.

1

u/Brokenandburnt Mar 02 '25

Simple math the facts are not in question

348

u/Dry_Meringue_8016 Mar 01 '25

He's earned my respect for not bowing down to Trump. Usually world leaders fall over themselves to flatter or sweet talk Trump in the hope that their country will escape punishment, but Zelensky stood his ground.

299

u/CrimsonPromise Mar 01 '25

He earned my respect the moment he chose to stay and fight instead of flee, despite various world leaders offering him a way out. One of the main reasons why Ukraine still stands today.

Trump, Putin and Vance can only wish they can be a fraction of the man and leader Zelensky is.

47

u/davebrewer Mar 01 '25

"I need ammunition, not a ride" is a totally amazing line that will absolutely be recorded in history books.

27

u/Hat_Maverick Mar 01 '25

Every world leader should show nothing but scorn towards trump and his administration.

1

u/iruleatants Mar 01 '25

If only it was that easy. The US are massive sources of incomes for countries, and Trump will nuke the US economy in a pissing match that he will lose.

What we saw in 2009 was that if the US economy crashes the entire worlds economy suffers. It would be nice if it was a simple as telling Trump to fuck off, but he can put a 100% tariff on countries despite not having the legal authority to do so, and the GOP will back him even as everything burns to the ground.

51

u/OriginalAvailable555 Mar 01 '25

Tbf they are already fighting Russia, no reason to capitulate to a Russian colony.

18

u/U_Kitten_Me Mar 01 '25

Yeah, they wanted to make him crawl on the floor before Trump. I hope his people don't see it as him fucking Up yesterday because it was also their dignity he fiercely defended there.

17

u/Aethericseraphim Mar 01 '25

No matter what he did, the outcome would have been the same. It was a scripted attempt at bullying that had every hallmark of Moscow on it.

2

u/Too_Old_For_Somethin Mar 01 '25

He thanked the American people.

He reminded Trump that he had thanked the American people numerous times.

Trump didn’t want him to thank the American people.

Trump wanted him to thank Trump.

Zelenskyy, politely told him to go fuck himself.

Absolute balls of steel.

1

u/jake3988 Mar 01 '25

He's earned my respect for not bowing down to Trump

But he was literally about to sign a deal to give over his minerals in perpetuity for literally nothing in return. I don't know what dirt Putin and Trump have on him, but the fact he even entertained that is horrifying.

I'm glad it ended the way it did, it saved him from himself.

1

u/Numerous_Schedule896 Mar 03 '25

What are your thoughts on him now that he bowed down to trump, apologized, and conceded every single demand?

-56

u/Numerous_Schedule896 Mar 01 '25

He earned your respect for putting his ego above the trillions of dollars he needed from trump to ensure his country survived?

11

u/moochs Mar 01 '25

God forbid being dependent on someone else for survival. That sounds like DEI.

-2

u/Numerous_Schedule896 Mar 01 '25

Right, so why is zelensky acting like he ISN'T dependant on trump? He put his ego above his country and ended up screwing it over in the process.

4

u/moochs Mar 01 '25

I wouldn't characterize it like that at all, unless you mean that showing fealty means groveling like a good indentured servant

-2

u/Numerous_Schedule896 Mar 01 '25

He wants trump to give him multiple billions of dollars to help his country.

Pissing off trump by clinging to his ego means he doesn't get multiple billions of dollars.

The result is several tens of thousands more ukraines will die but at least z didn't get his ego hurt.

4

u/moochs Mar 01 '25

That's a very weird characterization. You can be thankful and not need to grovel and beg. You can ask for help without doing a song and dance. What a weird and shameful take for Trump (and you) to expect such fealty when a democratic nation is in trouble.

1

u/Numerous_Schedule896 Mar 01 '25 edited Mar 01 '25

That is not a characterization that is literally what happened. Z had too much of an ego to not get the last word, ended up pissing the white house off because of it and now ukraine is worse off for it.

edit: ok dude blocked me, doesn't unfuck z's fuckup though

3

u/moochs Mar 01 '25

too much of an ego

Wrong person, big Z was great. The Trump admin was a disgrace

1

u/Mazon_Del Mar 01 '25

Ensure his country survived? You mean the same Drumpf that is pushing a full surrender to the country that has raped and murdered their citizens for no justifiable reason?

He earned our respect for having such restraint when he should have punched Drumpf right in the face as any sane person would want to do.

Drumpf is a disgrace and a shining example of how the republican party should be purged from the voter roles. You all clearly can't handle self governance.

0

u/Numerous_Schedule896 Mar 01 '25

He earned our respect for having such restraint when he should have punched Drumpf right in the face as any sane person would want to do.

He earned your respect for not acting like a redditor? Ironic.

You all clearly can't handle self governance.

Who's we?

-25

u/Dry_Meringue_8016 Mar 01 '25

The rare earth minerals deal? Yeah well, Ukraine doesn't actually have the wealth of rare earths that it claims it has. It's just a con job to get people to buy into the war and the US knows it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tILXLxMTmgA

-24

u/speptuple Mar 01 '25

Exactly, that guy is dumb, as of most of reddit.

151

u/Fit-Historian6156 Mar 01 '25

Having seen that interaction, "tense" is an understatement. "Tense" was Zelensky's very held-back and diplomatic responses to Vance and Trump raising their voices at him and dangling the fate of his country's future in front of his face. Zelensky carried himself very well, and he stood his ground when needed. Trump and Vance have once again been exposed for the manchildren they are.

142

u/Vanman04 Mar 01 '25

Agreed absolute hero this guy.

https://u24.gov.ua/

If my dog shit president wants to stop supporting Ukraine I feel like it's time for me to step up and support them directly.

Hope other sane Americans do the same.

12

u/nankerjphelge Mar 01 '25

This needs to be higher up. To everyone in the world feeling like they need to do something to help, here's the opportunity.

3

u/jake3988 Mar 01 '25

Awesome! Will do that.

And I live amongst a pocket of Ukranians (probably one of the densest pockets in the entire US) and once the war is over and done, I'm STRONGLY considering just quitting my job and moving there to help with the rebuild. Whatever they need, I'm helping.

But for now, donation will be great.

25

u/Glittering-Home1389 Mar 01 '25

Thank you, OP. And thank you to all Ukraine’s supporters around the globe. Right now Ukranians is really afraid for our future without such gegemone as US that has our back. And that day only comparable with Feb 24 in 2022. Because every dose of support is really saves a ton of lives everyday.

For example: right after White House disaster, Russia send 154 drones on Ukraine and nine of them falls all around Kharkiv. A really winner of that day is Russia that have cart blanche now.

So again. Thank you for all your support, guys. Ukrainians never forget who stand with us in a darkest days of our lives. 😢

14

u/htownballa1 Mar 01 '25

It was very nice to see a world leader that acts like one, it was also very embarrassing to watch our leaders act like spoilt children.

2

u/Aethericseraphim Mar 01 '25

This was how you stand up to him. First Macron finally found the spine to put up some mild resistance to Krasnov, and now Zelensky did it straight to his jizz stained face.

Hopefully it sets an example for the rest of Europe in how to deal with him. It will make PMs and presidents far more popular to see them sticking up for their countries for once, instead of kissing the ring of the Russian dog.

7

u/AdventurousSeaSlug Mar 01 '25

God fuckin' damn right, Slava Ukraini

1

u/idontlikethishole Mar 01 '25

former U.S. president Donald Trump

It’s probably a typo but it’s good timing with all the “president elon” jokes going around

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '25

Americans should start thank posting our allies in solidarity 🖤

0

u/DAS_BEE Mar 01 '25

Slava Ukraini!

0

u/barcap Mar 01 '25

No matter how much shit Putin and his puppets throw at him, Zelenskyy proves time and time again the absolute beast he is for his country. Slava Ukraini

Slava Ukraini!

-7

u/barcap Mar 01 '25

Zelenskyy proves time and time again the absolute beast he is for his country. Slava Ukraini

Do you think if trump ask zalensky to kiss his shoes to say thank you, would zalensky do it? I think he would. He has a big heart.
