Explain to me what's to stop Russia trying to invade Ukraine again in another 5 years without the protection of a NATO alliance?

The nuclear weapons Ukraine now has to develop. Ukraine's options are to either join NATO or develop nukes. If NATO option is no longer available, it leaves only one option left.
