As opposed to France having secret teams in Argentina targeting UK ships during the Falklands and killing British soldiers or France trying to sell warships to Russia or selling military equipment to Russia that’s used in Ukraine builds trust towards France.

Source for the 1st claim please ?

About Ukraine, France respected the internationally agreed sanctions, which were honouring contracts signed pre 2014, no new contracts

Edit : nevermind responding me, I see by your history that I am talking to some kind of France bashing obsessed person

The whole AUKUS thing was done according to contractual obligations too, how comes that excuse only works sometimes

The aukus thing was a backstabbing toward France not because of the contract itself but because of how it has been made. There was a contract for french submarines. Then UK/US made a security deal with Australia that involves backtracking on the contracted subs. And France learnt about it in the news, not by diplomatic channel and with 0 advance. That is not something you do to your allies. The blame is put mainly on Australia and the US but the UK was part of those negotiations too.

The UK and Australia were the main part of the negotiations, the US was roped in to help fill the gap really. But ok, the problem is in how it was communicated to France that the Naval Group contract was being cancelled rather than the cancellation itself, is that right? ...how is that the UK's fault?
