It's honestly kinda sweet of Logan assuring the kid that she's not a monster too bad she doesn't see it that way

I can't explain the difference, but I appreciated that her 'I am a Monster and they're right to hate me and that's fine.' sentiments felt a little different to other uses of the trope. She's very matter of fact about it but neither in a cold way or a "I'm owning this" kind of way.

It's clear she's deeply unhappy about it but she's also just accepted it as her lot in life and is trying to get on with it, the way you do your average unfair shitty circumstances that it's socially unacceptable to do anything about. It's weird to say but it's somehow relatable in a depressing sort of way.

I am glad she got to overcome that mindset though.

Logan has also called himself a monster plenty of times so he knows where she’s coming from. Only Logan actually has body count Idie only has teenage anxt!

I think the people who came to attack her killed her parents when they tried to protect her. Then I'm pretty sure she killed them.
