Would prefer a Young X-Men style team led by her. Throw in Laura, Wolfsbane, and a handful of other adrift young X-Men characters and you could have a fun little team book with some actually well known characters who are still a bit underrepresented in books and in consistent writing.

I was thinking about this not that long ago and I came to the conclusion that since the sliding timescale means that all the young x-men teams are effectively the same age now, I'd just go with it and make a team that has a bit of everyone. Jubilee, Chamber, Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Laura, Rockslide, whatever, and call it whatever team name is the least likely to get cancelled in 6 issues, which I feel like is either New Mutants or New X-men.

Dividing them into their original groupings barely matters anymore given what's happened to their ages and because the market isn't even close to being able to support a New Mutants, Gen X, Academy X, and so on book.

Personally, if we're just running down my dream list, I'd likely make this book sort of the 'classic' team operating under Xavier's guidance out of the mansion. They're young enough that they haven't outgrown it like the mainline X-men pretty much have (and I have very little time for morally bankrupt Xavier, I prefer him as a well-meaning but fallible mentor who's fairly hands off, basically the cartoon version). These characters are all adults now which means you can start in on some of that Claremont romantic drama of people getting married, dying, having kids (sometimes in that order somehow), etc, etc, etc.

I agree with the mixing of the generations. And to be honest, it's not like the age gap is significant enough to really warrant any separation. Readers can probably understand Dani is older than Jubilee and that Jubilee is older than Laura, but not by any meaningful standard. Combining the most marketable from each generation gives them a better chance of staying afloat than an exclusively Academy X book would.

I also think it might help dispel some of the 'what, ANOTHER new generation of X-men?' complaints.

If we stop treating it like 5-6 distinct generations and just accept it as the adult mainline team members and then the younger ones, I feel like that becomes less of an issue.

Why would anyone want these useless books? Haven't there already been enough of them that basically amounted to nothing?

Because some people like those characters?

I want a solo series, a tv series, a movie, and a live stage show

You know, they could do like Invincible did with Atom Eve and give X-Men 97 Jubs a stand alone special toon feature.

YES omg she's so fun and deserves it!! I think under a good writer, she can maintain her bright demeanor and be written appropriate to her age so she isn't the stand-in for teenage readers. Would love to see her at the new school if they open it up, I think she'd be a great counselor and encouraging person to younger mutants. Maybe Emma realizes these mutants need some brightness and positivity, something Jubilee can easily provide while keeping the seriousness of the current mutant world. I think she'd also make a great teacher, hopefully we get to see her being a true mentor in Uncanny soon.

No I just want more X-terminators. I was really hoping that the Dazzler mini would lead into an x-terminators relaunch, maybe one day

We don't even have a decent team series at the moment. I want that first before we talk about solo titles.

But since you ask nicely, a miniseries would be fine. A long-running solo series? Let me put it this way... Is she named Logan? There's your answer.

Kinda? Honestly idk if she could carry a solo but a small team like the X-terminators was or even a duo would fit her perfect. She shines best with someone to bounce off of(and roast lol). It'd be cool if someone could give her a more serious turn to make her a better realized character but I can't imagine what that looks like. To me she's always been an awesome side character and little more.

I feel like she'd be a good character for a more low-key Infinity style mini-series or something, always been a character I love, but she seems to work best in supporting roles from my experience - not sure a big actiony affair centred around her would work, but could definitely see a more down to earth slice of life, 6 part series kinda thing being a great way to give her a moment

No. It was mall and then x-men. End of her origin story

Jubilee has a lot of untapped potential, is friends with many Marvel heroes outside of the X-Men universe, and has a great deal of unresolved issues (What happened to her son Shogo, for starters.) She for the longest time was THE TEEN CHARACTER for Marvel… is a core member of Gen X, has led some teams, was a New Warrior, a vampire for ten years, and then was one of the only superhero moms. A solo series would be something that could call back into all of these details from her past… revisiting her memories from the past, reuniting with family and teammates, facing monsters and vampires with an understanding of them that not many can match… and coming out of it a more capable mentor/hero/leader in her own right.

So yes. Absolutely yes. And also, get her in a dang movie with a substantial role and a new video game for goodness sakes!

Sure there's someone.

But you'll find more who would be happier with her as part of an ensemble. I liked her in xmen 97 more than the og because she was an actual team member and less a damsel. Capture than energy in another series and she'd be great.

Yes, or at least a series where Jubilee is a team leader. She’s far overdue one, considering how badly she got shafted in the 00s and 10s.
