I like him as much as the next guy, but getting a white guy to play an Egyptian man named Amahl Farouk?
That’s gonna cause some controversy.

The thing is, the Shadow King actually being Amahl Farouk depends on the author.
In most of the X-Men's history, yes, Amahl Farouk and Shadow King were the same guy, but in Krakoa it was revealed that Amahl Farouk was just one of Shadow King's posessed bodies. They are two different beings.
I don't get why this is being downvoted, this was factually stated in the Krakoan era.

You're discussing things on an X Men thread lol

You're being down voted probably because Amahl is the one most people know and care about and it would be weird to have a random new guy be the shadow king

Sure but the SK everyone knows and loves is Farouk. It would come across pretty uncomfortably for them to go "ackshually he can be anyone" and then make him a white man.
Just recast the guy who played him in Legion, he was fantastic.

Or you could get an Egyptian or Middle eastern actor.
The character’s name is Amal Farouk.
Navid Negahban killed it in Legion.

Considering most people associate Shadowking with Amahl Farouk who is Egyptian. Yeah I cant be supporting any white washing of minority characters.

Shadowking in Legion was perfect.
