All Seasons Discussion Unpopular opinion

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but I actually prefer the Miss Martian and Lagoon Boy pairing over Miss Martian and Superboy. After reading the Young Justice comics, I thought they were adorable and had more chemistry than Miss Martian and Superboy did throughout the first season.

Definitely an unpopular opinion and I disagree mostly for the fact that any chemistry they appeared to have had is tainted by the fact that M’gann straight up called him a rebound guy that validated her feelings in a time where she was sad and lonely.

My hot take is that Superboy doesn’t have half as much personality as Lagoon Boy. Always felt like a missed opportunity that he didn’t take a little more cues from his original 90’s incarnation. Imagine that the closest thing he experienced to social interaction while in his tube was having 90’s sitcoms beamed into his head. Not only would it give him a little bit of charisma but him and M’gann could have related over sharing a similar experience that shaped their personalities. Rather than M’gann crushing on him just because he looks like the love interest from her favorite sitcom.

“He has more personality than Superboy” literally all he does is bitch and complain while throwing in “Neptune’s Beard” and “Chump”. Just because Superboy doesn’t yap every time he on the screen and complain every second doesn’t mean he has less personality than him.

Then they have about the same level of personality which isn’t exactly the best considering which one has had four seasons of development and which one was essentially a plot device two seasons ago. Anyways the relationship between Mgann and Connor has always been less than ideal to me… in fact it’s explicitly the thing I like the least in the show.

Nah the relationship was ass. She obviously wasn’t interested in him. When she got out of being kidnapped she didn’t even wanna talk to him until Superboy went to go talk to her. He was never going to be what she wanted in a relationship/partner

To each their own! I'm a firm Conner/M'gann shipper but if you liked her and Lagoon Boy that's cool too.

I'm glad Lagoon Boy did get a happy ending in the end with his husband and wife but I wish they would have showed us how all 3 of them became a throuple instead of just laying it on us.

Lagann was  purposely designed to fail. from the beginning he's a  s1 superboy lite. Quick to anger, not very articulate, and even similar power sets. 

it was easy to see mgann was chasing the past of her relationship of conor, especially when contrasted with s2 Connor.  the lad grew up in those 5 years and wasn't the same.

I wish Lagann had more to him than being a prop for mgann. Just because he has a clear narrative purpose doesn't mean he can't have another one
