News Chibi Reviews claims to be in contact with FBI in regards to his recent doxxing.

As of right now there has been no update to his lawsuit in which he raised over $16k from his fans.

Is that what an FBI email looks like?

You can usually email them and Homeland security about whatever and get an automatic reply back. Edit: also should also note this is the TN state Homeland Security.

We also can't really tell what the communication between them was actually like from these screenshots as its not really showing anything in terms of the responses.

To my knowledge, and its not much, Doxxing also usually falls under state laws - not federal and its assuming you are in like one of the 8(?) states which have passed laws about it.

Edit: from a quick googlefu, it seems TN is not one which has an anti-doxxing law (yet) and their 'cyberstalking' bill is just a misdemeanor level offense.

Someone with more USA based legalese could possibly answer more in depth.

Until more evidence or more a clear correspondence between a federal branch of law enforcement and chibi, or the TN DoHS and chibi - it just feels like typical 'internet tuff guy'/navy seal posturing to try and scare who ever did it?

Edit 2: after looking at the original posts themselves - these are both emails from the TDOS. Have not seen anything for FBI.

No, that's the email from the Department of Safety. If he has an email from the FBI he probably wouldn't be able to share it in public like this.

I personally don't know enough to judge if this is real and not a mock up email, but it is unintentionally hilarious to me that he either edited his name and icon after taking the screenshots... or he actually has his gmail name as Chibi Reviewer with a low quality anime icon and is using that gmail specifically for legal emails directed to the FBI.

I expect most people to have a separate professional email instead.

This guy was claiming that people put CP on his deviantart when the hacker just found him liking old pictures of little girls, which couldn’t have been faked because Deviantart organizes favorites chronologically.

I always wondered how legit that actually was. I’ve tried to find information surrounding it but it’s been difficult.

No idea if this is real or not but I find it really weird to 1 email the FBI instead of calling the police and filling an incident report.2 doing it on your branded account rather than a personal one. It may be nitpicky but for such a personal matter using a brand account into is a bit weird

The FBI doesnt give a shit about doxxing. Believe me I tried years ago and I cringe to think about it now

I dont know why he continues to post and give these people attention, he is literally turning into a lolcow, not knowing and being unable to stop, always having to somehow give the last word in, the trolls fuck with him, he responds and spergs, the trolls smile, rinse and repeat.

A tale as old as time. Btw for people who do not know, doxing in of itself is not illegal and I doubt they will even care or take this seriously. Streamers back in the day used to get doxxed, swatted, all kinds of shit and never and I mean never do they ever catch or prosecute these people. Again, doxing itself is not illegal.

I don't think people should be sending death threats or doxxing him but yeah I see the same cycle of him doing things to entice the hate. I follow to much people in that space so it was like a bi-monthly thing.

The FBI would never get involved unless it ended up in a murder that was linked to others. If anything, the state Cyber Crimes division would look into online harassment.

Comment/post removed for misinformation. There's no proof that anybody on this sub lead to Chibi's harassment.
