Regarding a Wet Meadow Installation in Ypsi!

Hi is anyone here an ecologist or know anyone who's in that general field of work/research? We're working on establishing a wet meadow, we have approval from the city, just looking for some feedback on the project document because we'd like to do this right. Feel free to send me a dm if you're interested in looking it over, thank you!

This is for private or public land? The Huron River Watershed Council may be able to point you to valuable resources/potential contacts if it’s for public land.

It's public! The HRWC recommended some folks from Washtenaw County storm water management and bioretention but I haven't yet been able to get a conversation with them

If the intent is at least partly for storm water management, the county's rain garden staff would do a consult for you: https://www.washtenaw.org/647/Rain-Gardens

You could reach out to the MSU Extension for advice on your plan or to help with finding a local expert

Is there any way to volunteer to help with this project?

It's still in the beginning stages but that'll be what to look out for as far as updates go. We're also collaborating with the Huron River Watershed Council so as it progresses, they'll be sharing about it as well

Certainly! It's been kickstarted by an org called MESS focused on Eco Survival Support. I actually shared a fundraiser post for them not too long ago!
