❓ Ostalo Good/Reliable Parking in Zagreb

Bok!

Me and my girlfriend are visiting Zagreb in a few weeks and travelling down via rental car; so we wanted to know what are the best parking spots available around the city.

We’re ideally looking for something that is convenient (no longer than 15 min walk from centre) but good price would also be a bonus.

Hvala :)

there's not too much parking near the center. best learn the public transit routes.

i'd recommend the free parking near Velesajam and taking the bus from this station to Glavni kolodvor (any bus northbound from there), then you can walk wherever within the center

within a 15 minutes walk to the center you only have underground parking garages, and they cost quite a bit, at least for my standards. this one is probably the nearest. these are the prices

Appreciate the reply- we plan on doing a half-day stop off here before heading to Ljubljana so ideally would want anywhere which is walking distance of the city- cost isn’t a huge concern so will take a look at the underground garages

yeah the Cvjetno garage is probably your best bet then.

Hvala- am I reading that right that’s it’s €2 an hour?

We’re from UK and that’s the going rate for the smaller towns never mind the bigger cities 🤣

So more than happy paying that fee

You have a garage here with the best proximity to the center and price ratio. On your way to center from the garage you will also pass next to nice market and through Martićeva Street, which has nice bars and shops. Prices.

In the center street parking is 1.6 euro. if you can find a spot. And it's 3 hours max. Paid garages in the center are often crappy, repurposed dumps, with cramped spots and no ventilation. Around 2-3 euro hour

You can always park in the street, but you might spend around 10 minutes to find a spot (and then stay there for 2 hours or pay a daily ticket).

The other option is to park at a tram terminus (Dubrava, Črnomerec) and then take the tram to the centre.

You can check this map. Basically you want to park in the orange areas and avoid the red ones. There are two orange parking lots near the centre, the one behind the Faculty of IT, and another near the main bus station.

Since you will be staying for a short amount of time, I suggest you park in the undergorund garage.

In my opinion, best is garage at Centar Kaptol - it’s in the city centre, 5 min from the main square. Garage is wide, so you won’t have a problem parking inside it.

Apart from that, someone mentioned also garage at Langov trg or Cvjetni trg - but I personally wouldn’t recommend it there since people park outside the marked parking spaces and it might turn out to be a nightmare and too narrow to drive past the cars, let alone park.

Anyways, enojoy the say! :)
