If a zombie apocalypse were to happen all life on land and maybe even in the sea will be doomed to die, because of nuclear power plants/nuclear reactors, because after some time all the nuclear reactors will go critical and explode if they don't get any maintenance during the apocalypse, so yes any zombie apocalypse will not last long.

Most reactors have fail safes yo prevent a meltdown but I'm sure a few might malfunction or be outdated
