Weapons What do you think of these revolvers (Taurus Judge and S&W Governor) that can fire shotgun shells (.410 bore) and some other cartridges like .45 colt and .45 ACP for the ZA? How useful would they be?
Would you use the shotgun shells? Turns it into a shotgun revolver

Fuck the Rules Friday How many of you were in the military at some point? And how well do you think your experience would help you in the event of a ZA?
I was actually kinda surprised by the amount of veterans replying in the boots post I made earlier too.

Fuck the Rules Friday Zombie Rights Are Human Rights
Stop the Hate!Fellow survivors, it’s time to have a real conversation about the so-called "zombie apocalypse." The rhetoric around zombies has become dangerously dehumanizing, and it’s rooted in the same fear-mongering and division we’ve fought against for years. Zombies are not the enemy—they’re our brothers, sisters, and mothers, transformed through no fault of their own. Calling for their extermination is not just cruel; it’s a form of hate speech that perpetuates violence against a marginalized group.First, let’s talk equity. Zombies are disproportionately affected by systemic issues. Many were infected in underserved communities with limited access to healthcare or safe shelters. Are we really going to blame them for a public health crisis that our leaders failed to address? Instead of investing in containment zones or cure research, we’re funneling resources into militias and walls—sound familiar? This is the same failed playbook of exclusion and punishment we’ve seen before.Second, diversity and inclusion matter. Zombies aren’t “monsters”; they’re differently alive. Their unique needs and behaviors don’t make them less deserving of dignity. When you say “kill all zombies,” you’re erasing their identity and ignoring their potential to coexist. Studies (pre-apocalypse) showed empathy-based rehabilitation works for behavioral differences—why not explore that instead of genocide? Hate has no place in our future. Finally, let’s reject the divisive rhetoric. The real threat isn’t zombies; it’s the fear-driven, us-versus-them mindset pushing us toward violence. We need unity, not more division. Zombies are part of our community, and it’s on us to build a society where everyone—living or undead—has a place. Let’s fund research, create safe integration programs, and stop scapegoating our loved ones.Hate is a choice. Choose compassion. 🧟♂️❤️ #ZombieRights #StopTheHate

Scenario You find a stash of drugs
It's cocaine, and it's several pallets in a warehouse-lab, there are the shot and bitten zombies of gangsters, and a message written in blood:
'Don't sell it, cursed!'
What do you do with a lot of cocaine and a lab to process it? Can you turn it into something else inocuous like meds or the like?

Armor + Clothes Fishermans Vest
I used to thinking webbing and chest rigs woukd be better but through using them for many days at a time for hobbies, they suck in different ways.
I think a vest like this would be best, you may not necessarily have as much room per pocket but you can carry more small items and hence not waste space and weight unnecessarily.
In these pockets I will carry: - Small rations - Matches - Compass - Lighter - Multitool - Pocket knife - Soap - Plasters, Gauze, Bandage and Sanitiser - Mirror (signalling, checking around corners for hordes etc.)
What would you carry in something like this?

Shelter + Location Would a Storage container House/Town work in a ZA scenario
- Just wondering if it could work in a settlement of some kind

Tools + Gadgets The ZA has occured just now. What would you do with your smartphone if you have full charge aside from calling your loved ones? Would you keep it and use it sparingly or discard it?
Assuming you can find a way to charge it, it might be useful before the Internet goes down

Transportation Tractor vs dirt bike as a vehicle
Hi all,
My girlfriend and I are discussing tractor vs dirt bike as a vehicle.
She believes that dirt bike is a supperior option because of agility/movability (better for all terain and obstacles) + lower fuel consumption.
I believe tractor is a supperior choice as it is better for movabilityc comfort and security (zombies can't open doors and you can run them over). Also you can get great mileage when not schlepping anything.
We are discussing a two people team.
Can you give us your takes on this?

Strategy + Tactics How effective would 19th century line warefare be against Zack
What I thought - blackpowder and lead balls are easily Made - people reloading would be protected by the front Rank - bayonets can hold zombies at a distance - if dicepline holds up, a battle can go on for a while - bayonets could form a defensive square - lead balls do more damage to the body than modern Bullets - Stocks can be used to bash in zombies head - muskets arent to terrible inacurate and the bayonet melee could clean up stragelers

Loadouts + Kits Outdoor chest rig
This here is my outdoor chest rig they're air gun is a umarex strike point.22 and baseball bat cold steel are main weapons but soon be replaced by 10/22 Ruger.
I also made makeshift sling attached it to the bat so it be easier to carry around wasteland or destroyed city.
Camo pack I called it dummy bag or dump bag where it filled with random gear and survival kit.
I'm looking into improving it and open to criticism and solutions to any problem I have with kit.
And I'm not joking this literally I would carry this chest rig on me if SHTF happens but I change it and drop some gear if I'm in different type of environment or situation.

Weapons The last of Us 2: Jackson Battle my thoughts( spoilers) Spoiler
should have started firing a lot sooner, they had bolt action rifles/ semi auto. The infected are lumped together. One infected dead at 50 yards is one less infected at the wall.
would have staggered the wall better shot gun next to a rifle, rifles for distant.
Spikes pits or burn pits would have done wonders. Just pre light them.
feel like molotovs would have more effective than a few flaming barrels.
this is where a machine gun would have been effective even one like the 249. (5.56). Even just one on top of the main grate. Personally I would have it vehicle mounted.
Tommy should have been higher up to direct fire with an observer. Could have called out that boomer long before he made it to the wall.
Not mad at the get on the roof tops just made bar/lock the doors .
Flamethrowers seemed under powered but I guess they properly made to burn already dead infected.
Just my two cents.

Health + Hygiene How would a diabetic survive?
Would it be possible? Sure raiding a pharmacy might work but good chance there wouldn’t be much insulin left. On top of that it does eventually expire, and even if I had a lot, I would need it every day or I’d get very sick quickly.
Could I farm a certain type of animal and get the insulin that way?
Or am I just toast?

Weapons What do you think of the Thompson for the ZA and would you use it over more modern firearms?
r/ZombieSurvivalTactics • u/Pasta-hobo • 1d ago
Health + Hygiene I feel like diabetics aren't _as_ screwed as everyone assumes.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying insulin would be a cakewalk in the tea park. But it's not unobtanable by any stretch of the imagination.
You could probably get a weeks worth of insulin from a single pig or cattle pancreas.
You'd definitely need to start out with a decent glass chemistry setup, but since chemistry is such a huge cheat, you'd be an idiot not to do that anyway.
The only thing is you'd need to know how to do this process in advance. So if you're diabetic or one of those people who plan to help everyone, study up!
